    Job DescriptionDescription: The Front Loader Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently unloading semi-trucks carrying steel building components, panels, and structural members using an all-terrain front loader or similar heavy equipment. This position plays a key role in material handling, inventory accuracy, and maintaining smooth yard operations for steel building fabrication and delivery. Responsibilities Operate an all-terrain front loader, telehandler, or forklift to unload steel building kits, beams, panels, and related materials from flatbed or enclosed trucks. Inspect incoming loads for damage and verify materials against shipping documents. Stage and organize materials in designated yard or warehouse areas for fabrication or shipment. Use rigging, lifting straps, and forks safely to prevent product or equipment damage. Maintain communication with truck drivers, yard team, and supervisors during unloading. Perform daily equipment inspections, fluid checks, and basic maintenance. Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols, including PPE requirements and load limits. Assist with general yard duties such as cleanup, material organization, and inventory control when not operating equipment. Report any equipment malfunctions, damage, or safety concerns promptly. Requirements: Experience unloading structural steel or sheet metal. Familiarity with steel building components and packaging. Forklift certification (Class 7 - Rough Terrain). Basic mechanical skills for loader maintenance.Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role in a warehouse setting. Familiarity with operating various types of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and clamp trucks. Strong understanding of safety regulations, particularly OSHA standards related to forklift operation. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors. Capability to follow instructions accurately while working independently or as part of a team.
