The Field Operator is responsible for safely monitoring the plant in the field and for all manual operations like packaging, sampling, minor maintenance, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
Exhibit safe work practices in the monitoring of plant equipment, according to existing plans. In-process sampling, reporting of unusual events, noises & vibrations to Shift Supervisor. Key duty is housekeeping in the production areas, understanding the plant policies for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and all food-grade plant requirements must be maintained.
Packaging of finished goods by use of the packaging equipment
Perform all manual operations in the production process like enzyme dosage, supply and removal of drums at the solvent distillation etc.
Sampling of process fluids and solvents for in-process control
Minor maintenance of plant equipment like lubrication, greasing, minor mechanical and electrical maintenance.
Receive deliverables such as starch, solvents and caustic by truck. Packaging of finished goods. Monitoring of the outside parts of the plant and reporting any findings to Shift Supervisor.
Respond to emergencies. Maintain all online and in-plant training requirements.
Qualificiations Required:
High School Diploma is required. (Preferred Education, Fields of Study, Certifications: Mechanics, Electronics, and/or Chemical studies.)
Minimum of three years relevante experience
Good communication and verbal interpersonal skills.
Ability to troubleshoot systems and processes.
Make Plant Safety a priority.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Exposure to chemicals and other hazards, with requirements for training and proper PPE.
Will be required to lift 55 lbs., related to our finished packaging.
This position is a swing shift alternating days and nights every 2 weeks.

The Dryer Operator ensures that liquid intermediate product is spray dried, meeting all specifications set on the finished product, and following all Safety, Quality and Food Safety procedures of the company. The drying of food products requires flexibility on the part of all personnel as operations change depending upon the needs of the customer. This will require a Dryer Operator to train and work in other departments on a periodic basis in order to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
* Understand and follow safety, GMP, food safety, and other rules or policies.
* Perform sanitation on equipment, infrastructure, grounds, and other assigned areas.
* Monitor quality assurance controls during the production process. For example, product analysis, and code date verifications are performed on a routine basis to ensure the customer receives a quality product. Record and maintain accurate written and electronic information.
* Operate packing line safely and efficiently.
* Inspect dryer infrastructure, monitor dryer equipment and notify management when maintenance is required.
* Assist in trouble-shooting of equipment and process problems.
* Notify Supervisor of equipment failures and when major process problems or variations in the process are detected.
* Communicate and interact with other employees and management personnel in a respectful and effective manner.
* Learn all equipment in Drying. Cover shifts as scheduled.

Job Summary:
Pirc-Tobin Construction in Alburnett, Iowa is seeking individuals to join our project crews. This position is for an individual who is self-motivated, positive, and team and safety-oriented who can operate heavy equipment for jobs such as (but not limited to), underground utility installation, grading, and street reconstruction. When not operating equipment, individuals must be willing to perform physical labor work wherever needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrates safe and proficient operation of heavy equipment associated with duties related, but not limited to, underground utility installation, grading, and street reconstruction
Have the appropriate required training to perform jobs such as main line pipe installs, removals, fine grading, truck loading, and other associated tasks
Must understand how to maneuver around obstacles and buried utilities, without direct supervision from management
Understands blueprint reading and is involved with pre-task planning
Must be able to fuel the machine and lube pivot joints daily
Maintain the cleanliness of the equipment
Learn and follow safety standards
Work a full-time schedule with overtime during construction season as follows
-- Seasonal work, March - December -- Monday - Friday, 7:00-5:30 with possible weekend work -- 40-55 hours/week, depending on weather--
Education, Experience & Training Requirements:
2500 hours minimum of safe and proficient operation of various heavy equipment
Must hold valid insurable driver's license - Class C minimum and a clear driving record
