SUMMARY: Identifies and segregates defective material within individual slit rolls. Combines leftover good material into finished rolls and palletizes for shipment to the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Facilitate on the job training and instruction for team members on the correct use of tools and equipment to ensure proper safety and operating procedures are followed.
Mounts slit rolls of product onto shaft of machine using lift cart. Removes rolls as well.
Sets up and makes necessary adjustments to the machine.
Must be able to identify defects and splice good material together per spec.
Reads and understands specs of products being run. Must know packaging materials required for palletizing finished product also. Occasionally uses hand tools to prepare packaging materials.
Completes daily production reports.
Operates stretch wrap machine to wrap finished pallets.
Regularly cleans machine and surrounding area.
Actively participates in safety programs and makes safety observations. Follows plant safety rules.
Other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table
The Lead Dryer Operator ensures that product is processed and packaged correctly and in a timely manner. This requires a wide range of knowledge and skills, many of which can be learned on the job. The Lead Dryer Operator reports directly to the Production Supervisor. The Lead Dryer Operator may also receive direction from Superintendent or other management personnel as required. This position is a 12-hour, rotating shift from 6 AM to 6 PM.
What you'll do as a Lead Dryer Operator
The drying and packaging of food products requires flexibility on the part of all personnel as operations change depending upon the needs of the customer. This will require a Lead Dryer Operator to train and work in other departments on a periodic basis to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities
* Understand and follow safety, GMP, food safety, and other rules or policies.
* Perform safe sanitation on equipment, infrastructure, grounds, and other assigned areas.
* Responsible for reading and understanding material safety data sheets for chemicals used for cleaning or ingredients.
* Follow and direct all procedures on precautions of wearing PPE when working around chemicals or ingredients.
* Monitor quality assurance controls during the production on Dryers & Packaging, for example: metal checks, weight checks, and code date verifications are performed on a routine basis and records are maintain, accurate written, and electronic information is documented to ensure the customer receives a quality product.
* Follow and direct the established processes for CIP procedures.
* Record and maintain accurate written and electronic information for CIPs, or any other documents required by the company to regulate downtime, parameters, procedures and equipment through basic analysis, simple calculations, and computer controls.
* Verification and finalize of batch paperwork.
* Inspect Dryer & Pack line infrastructure, monitor equipment, and notify operators, Supervisor, and management when maintenance is required.
* Call maintenance and access MAPCON to write Work Order as needed.
* Assist in troubleshooting of Drying & Packaging equipment with maintenance and help if needed on Process problems.
* Assign work to team members depending upon the production schedule and according to changes of operational needs.
* Communicate and direct other employees respectfully, and in an effective manner.
* Learn and Train on all equipment in Drying and Packaging lines safely and efficiently to cover Call ins and Vacation.

Job Description
The basic function of the Machine Operator is to perform all operational functions on the machines to achieve production goals on a daily and annual basis. Incumbent performs necessary functions in order to efficiently, safely, and correctly process materials in preparation for cooking or for packaging.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
Manage start-up to make sure equipment is in proper operating condition.
Set-up, operate, and perform change-over procedures of machine in accordance with operating standard protocols and machine settings.
Change out totes, seal tote bags accordingly to specs in accordance with processes and SOP's
Change rolls (of film, zipper, scavengers, stickers, etc.) in a timely manner to minimize down time and lost material.
Partner with Maintenance to minimized downtime. Communicate effectively with Maintenance personnel to prevent and address any machine malfunctions. Help complete basic troubleshooting or repair. Complete basic preventative maintenance.
Continually strive to maximize productivity and efficiency while decreasing waste and work at full capacity.
Ability to assemble and de-assemble machine.
Perform necessary checks at start of shift and at each new product; document on paperwork, code date, correct label, upper/lower film, etc.
Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
Ensure quality protocols & SOPs are followed and openly communicate with FSQ in order to fix defects to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
Ensure product conforms to specifications (i.e. weights & lengths) by performing periodic checks on output.
Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper disposition.
Prevent and minimize rework and/or inedible.
Record daily production paperwork, process monitors, and daily run logs sheets completely and accurately.
Monitor workflow to maximize machine output efficiencies.
Keep hard supplies for batch run, such as combos and v-mags stocked in the area.
Accurately document all ingredients used and maintain a stock of necessary materials.
Ensure Team Members working on line are efficient and completing work safety and with quality in mind

The Chemical Delivery Representative and Warehouse Operator role will be a flex approximately 50/50 percent delivery and warehouse based on business needs. Professionally operate equipment to deliver chemicals to customers in a cost-efficient, safe, courteous, and timely manner. This role is involved in customer service issues, ensuring the delivery meets the customer's needs while loading/unloading of trucks and delivering to customers. This role will have responsibility for loading materials, unloading materials, inventorying materials, picking materials, and shipping materials out through a third party within the warehouse.
Warehouse Responsibilities:
Using forklift and/or pallet jacks to accurately pick orders and loading freight regularly
Receiving of vendor receipts and transfers

Wrap pallets securely for shipment

Thread tie bands around bale and twist or clamp ends of bands to tighten.
Operate machines in proper rotation at discretion of supervisor, working in teams that may consist of only two employees
May act as material handler, moving materials from or near trucks, dock, and/or staging areas to specific locations within the facility.
Collaborate with adjacent outlet division to manage process shared materials, including empty gaylords, pallets, and crates, ensuring efficient workflow and continuous operation of balers. Assist with outlet-generated materials as needed, recognizing the integrated nature of both teams within the shared workspace.
Assist other divisions with small tasks when appropriate, ensuring that support does not disrupt the primary workflow. Foster a spirit of teamwork and cooperation while maintaining focus on work-related communication
Maintain professional and efficient communication practices to prevent unnecessary distractions and ensure a smooth and safe workflow across all areas of the production space, avoiding disruptive behavior that could distract work and cause a hazard.
Other such duties as may be required or assigned by supervisory staff.
