Position Responsibilities
Receive assignments from the dispatcher via radio or tablet for efficient task management.
Operate motive power vehicles, including forklifts, industrial trucks, and tractors, to load, unload, move, position, and align parts, equipment, scaffolding, jacks, generators, tools, and materials.
Manually pick, sort, load, and unload small packages, measuring up to ten feet in length and weighing up to thirty-five pounds, onto trucks, trailers, or dollies.
Secure loads effectively using tarps, covers, slings, cables, and ropes to ensure safe transportation.
Operate a small cargo truck to deliver packages throughout the site, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.
Utilize a tractor for transporting loose freight, running shuttle routes for materials and garbage pickup, and moving aircraft components using tow bars and wheel chocks.
Ride in the cockpit and operate brakes as necessary while the airplane is being towed, using motorized equipment to move scaffolding, jacks, and generators to and from airplanes.
Assess safe load requirements, including weight and size, prior to lifting with a forklift to avoid exceeding equipment capacity.
Load and unload vehicles, ensuring proper handling and organization of materials, and check materials against shipping records to obtain receipts.
Couple and uncouple associated equipment as necessary to facilitate deliveries and handle tow bars and chock wheels for towing operations.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform daily safety and mechanical inspections, including checking fuel, oil, and water levels, and refueling as necessary.
Inspect vehicles for physical damage and report any issues to ensure safe working conditions, completing a pre-use inspection checklist.
Use a sweeper to clean various areas within the factory and field positions as required.
Keep a constant check on all airplanes stored on outside ramps for security, ensuring tie-down ropes are secure, cowl lines are intact, windows are closed, and controls are locked.
Perform liaison duties between the Transportation Department and Maintenance or other shop sections, transporting equipment in need of repair to and from the maintenance garage.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.
Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.

Mount and check cutting tools in holders, ensuring proper loading in machine magazines or spindles
Initiate requests for corrective action in the event of machine malfunctions and detect faulty tools, taking corrective action in accordance with shop practices
Load, preload, and manually position fixtures at designated program stops
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs
Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting
Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants
Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards
Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.
Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications
1+ Years of experience using precision measuring tools
1+ Years of experience as a machine operator, writing and editing CNC programs
1+ Years of experience using a computer such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office and/or other specialized computer applications
1+ Years of experience reading and interpreting blueprint and assembly instructions or drawings
1+ Years of experience operating 3, 4, or 5 axis NC/CNC machine tools
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with and around hazardous materials (while using the proper protective equipment)
Typical Education & Experience:
High school graduate or GED preferred.
