Overview of Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and quality-focused Production Operator to join our new state-of-the-art factory in Tennessee. This role supports our promotional product decoration operations, which include a wide variety of printing and marking technologies - from laser engraving and silkscreen printing to advanced inkjet and digital decoration techniques.
As part of our production team, you will operate, maintain, and ensure the smooth performance of equipment used to personalize promotional products such as pens, drinkware, bags, stationary, and other branded items. Your attention to detail, quality mindset, and teamwork will directly contribute to meeting customer expectations and achieving operational excellence.
What you will do:
Production & Equipment OperationOperate light industrial and digital decoration machinery in line with daily production targets and quality requirements.
Execute multiple decoration methods such as laser engraving, silkscreen, pad printing, UV inkjet, sublimation, and other digital processes.
Perform product setup, calibration, and changeovers efficiently to maintain production flow.
Conduct in-process inspections to ensure high-quality output and product consistency.
Identify, troubleshoot, and report any equipment or process issues promptly
Quality & Safety
Follow all quality standards and inspection procedures, ensuring decorated products meet design and customer specifications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies.
Report defective materials, safety risks, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives across the production floor.
Documentation & Materials Management
Record production data accurately (performance, downtime, and scrap logs).
Verify correct work order codes and materials before production begins.
Support efficient material handling, staging, and replenishment to minimize downtime.
Collaboration & Teamwork
Work closely with other production operators, quality inspectors, and shift supervisors to ensure smooth process flow.
Assist with cross-training and support other decoration lines when needed.
Actively participate in problem-solving and process-improvement discussions.
What we need from you:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or similar hands-on environment is desirable.
Ability to work cross-functionally, take direction from others, and a willingness to learn new processes as required.
Must be able to meet minimum lifting weight requirements of 30 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods as required in a production environment.
Comfortable using computer equipment and systems relevant to the role.
Familiarity with or willingness to learn and apply 5S workplace organization principles. 5S refers to a workplace organization method focused on Sort, set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain, aimed at improving efficiency and safety
Work Environment: This job works in a manufacturing environment, using various manufacturing equipment.

Perform daily pre-operation inspections on equipment, reporting any defects or needed repairs via CMMS app
Daily cleaning of equipment and greasing

General labor duties that may include but not limited to sweeping, shoveling and general clean-up of any area and/or equipment throughout the yard
Effectively communicate over radio with teammates and truck drivers for traffic coordination, production, and safety procedures
Attend and participate in internal meetings and complete required training

Base Pay is 19.50 per hour plus $1 per hour shift differential for night shift
Night Shift: 7pm-7am on a 2-2-3 schedule
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Machine Operator 1 is a training position through which Associates may advance to the Machine Operator 2 position. Through this training position, associates will learn to operate extrusion lines and produce vinyl siding products and accessories: ensuring that extruder outputs are consistent with product specifications and that quality assurance standards are maintained by inspecting finished product for consistency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Associate must learn to verify operational status of all equipment on assigned line according to start-up check list
Maintain extruder and all peripheral line equipment settings (embosser, sterlco, dies, MRF, etc.) to produce outputs that are consistent with product specifications
Perform Quality Assurance responsibilities that include conducting a variety of tests on finished product to determine product quality within an established range of performance
Notify Supervisory personnel of deviations for prompt and accurate correction(s)
Communicate with Maintenance Department and Manufacturing Shift Supervisor about machine malfunctions
Learn to Assist Machine Operator 2 with troubleshooting operational problems and adjust equipment to maintain consistency on the extrusion lines; inform QA Technician and Manufacturing Shift Supervisor(s) of problems or inefficiencies that cannot be corrected
Learn to Assist with extruder machine output changeovers (e.g., embossing drums, die sets) during the shift
Learn to conduct a variety of line/panel checks to determine product consistency, including panel thickness, width, length, radius, hook, nail hems, perforation, and weep holes
Perform housekeeping duties as needed such as clean up of water spills, knock-out build up in MRF cutter, and knock-out bins; maintain cleanliness of extrusion line and surrounding work area
Monitor Production Associate 1s and 2s (Inspector/Packer) to ensure consistency and quality of product packed and application of proper packing techniques
Develop communication skills so knowledge can be shared with previous and following shifts' Production Associates about product quality, problems, and status of work in progress
Complete accurately and legibly all extrusion and quality assurance related paperwork (e.g. operational reports)
Refer to Production Schedule for color of product, product number and quantity to be produced
Locate Quality Assurance Specification from Lab to adhere to specifications for appropriate product
Perform all quality assurance checks according to schedule on Operational Report
Punch time clock before and after shift to record time worked
Observe health and safety practices at all times
Accurately performs pre-start checks, including verifying all equipment is ready for start-up
Qualifications
Education:
High School Graduate/GED
Experience:
Six months of related or production experience is required.
Knowledge:
Must be able to read, write and have working knowledge of machine mechanics. Must have good mechanical aptitude and above average math aptitude.
Mental/Physical/Visual Demands:
Must possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance. Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player. Must have good communication skills and the ability to interact with people. Must be detail oriented with ability to operate, read, and interpret test equipment/findings. Must have ability to learn to operate a computer and ten key. Needs ability to use and read calipers and micrometers to within one thousandth of an inch. Must be able to work quickly with product and be able to lift 86 pounds maximum, be able to lift with assistance 87 to 100 pounds, keep colors separate, and records weights accurately. Must have excellent manual dexterity.

Safely handle and operate any machinery, tools or equipment used.
Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times; bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes
Must be willing to comply with different machine rotations and packing styles
Must be capable of selecting appropriate size boxes for running product, assemble boxes with provided tape gun, and be able to scan necessary items.
Ability to properly align 6-9 assembled boxes at the machine, without blocking aisles or exits.
Establish if order requires caps or not. If order requires caps, liner is to be folded over bottles and caps inserted into the box of product. If no caps required to ship order, insert liner into box so liner can be folder over bottles prior to sealing. Boxes are then placed on a conveyor.
Once boxes reach the end of conveyor, product must be random sampled to check for visible defects. If any defect is found, it is to be reported immediately to your processor.
After inspection, fold liner over product to avoid contamination.
Retrieve label from label machinery and place on completed box. Proper placement and fitting is required.
Identify, recognize and assess documents, machinery and more
Must be able to maintain a clean work environment and/or station, may include sweeping, taking out trash, and restocking all packing items

Job Description
Machine Operator II will be responsible for setting up and running specialized machine equipment (such as presses, un-coilers, roll-formers, and any other pieces of equipment as deemed necessary by management) to produce various designs and sizes of garage door sections and other garage door components. The employee will also be accountable for the overall quality and storage of garage door sections and other garage door components, the preparing of rejected material(s) for return to vendor(s) and the housekeeping of the machinery and general work area(s).
Machine Operator II possess the ability to use a tape measure, micrometer, caliper, "feeler" gauge, and other mechanical tools as used in this position. Employee will be required to use a computer, be certified to drive a forklift truck, certified to operate overhead cranes and operate a pallet jack, able to lift, carry, and set up rollers and dies onto the press, un-coiler, and roll-former weighing up to 50 pounds.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
Conduct activities by adhering to established procedures and approved processes.
Operate relevant production equipment or tools.
Fulfill production orders, meet inventory requirements, and produce at the prescribed production rate(s).
Capacity to develop knowledge of manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment and be able to apply this knowledge to the completion of work as assigned.
Must be able to read, interpret, produce, and measure products to prints/drawings and work instruction specifications to ensure compliance.
Must become familiar with the product's construction and application.
Must promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Must have an understanding of S and maintain 6S standards at all time.
Assist in quality training of fellow employees.
Basic trouble shooting for all machinery.
Work overtime as needed, even on a short notice to meet customer demands.
Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Have a High School diploma, GED or equivalent with at least three years of progressive manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication experience.
Have the flexibility to work on different shifts, when required, to meet production or project goals.
Essential Mental Functions:
Must be able to maintain focus of tasks at hand with attention to detail.
Must be able to follow an established routine and be predisposed to high level of interaction in a team environment.
Successful candidates must be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently without continuous supervision.
Work with an understanding that they are a member of a team where success for one is measured by success for all.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and easily adapt to changing situations.
Essential Physical Functions:
Be able to safely lift or move at least 50 lbs.
Be able to drive a forklift (certification required) and use a pallet jack.
Be able to operate overhead cranes (certification required) to lift up to 300 lbs. and over 5,000 lbs. of metal coils and roll-forming tables.
Capable of pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods of time.
Be able to work in cold or hot working conditions.
Equipment Used:
Tools and equipment along with specialized training if needed will be provided as required.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
