POSITION/TITLE: Print Equipment Operator WORK LOCATION: Higginsville, MO POSITION REPORTS TO: Shift Supervisor WORK TYPE: ON SITE JOB SUMMARY: The Print Equipment Operator insures that he or she follows SQF; GMP's and work policies/procedures. Visually inspects operations and product on all assigned print lines to ensure that a food safe quality product is being produced at standard production rates with a minimum of scrap. He/she assures that the equipment is being properly maintained and that all area work and safety rules are being followed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Adheres to all good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, HACCP and SQF process requirements; rectify and/or report any and all non-compliance to Management or the SQF practitioner immediately.
Reports to all scheduled shifts and attends meetings as required
Assures that all products being printed meet customer specifications and that only food safe quality products are allowed to enter the packaging bins by continually monitoring the quality of the products being printed and packaged. Stops the defects found, and corrects the problems with a sense of urgency.
Ensures maximum production rates by diagnosing equipment problems and makes necessary repairs and adjustments.
Preforms equipment changeovers in an efficient manner, making certain that all proper changeover parts are installed, and correct adjustments made to ensure a food safe quality production, and that the changeover is made with a minimum of equipment downtime.
Cleans all changeover parts removed during a product change and returns them to the proper place. Tags any defective parts in need of repair.
Ensures adequate supply of inks, labels, and bulk products are available to be fed to his/her assigned machines by monitoring its usage closely and procuring additional supplies as needed.
Performs all daily preventive maintenance as required on the furnished preventive maintenance checklist.
Communicates with the outgoing/incoming Working Forepersons to ensure coordination of shift activities.
Maintains a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
Reacts immediately to quality problems found by other team personnel by stopping the defect being made and correcting the problem.
Advises the Working Foreperson when assistance is required.
Works safely and considers the safety of others at all times.
Participates in the training of new employees and upholds the training practices of the training program.
Performs other duties as assigned by WinCup leadership as needed.

The primary functions of the operator include but are not limited to:

Direct truck drivers backing vehicles into loading bays and cover, uncover, or secure loads for delivery.
Ensure cargo is properly secured prior to transporting.
Signal others to coordinate vehicle movement.
Provide additional support to other crane operators as necessary, including working overtime if necessary to complete tasks.
Control cranes, lifts and other equipment using standard operating procedures to ensure effective transportation of materials and safety for all personnel on site.

2) Loading of stockpiled product onto customer trucks and trailers,
3) Operate and troubleshoot the scale computer, remote scale touchscreen and printer, and
4) Offloading of product imported by rail cars into onsite stockpiles.
5) This position requires experience in operating midsize to larger loaders for product loadout.
6) This position will also be trained and responsible for the daily offloading of product from rail cars.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to use vibration producing tools frequently.
Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Mid-level experience on midsize to large front-end loaders required.
Mechanical experience a plus.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

The selected candidate will be required to work collectively in a team environment with other co-workers and managers.
Willingness to do other work as needed, including heavy labor.

About the Role
As an Abbey Mill Operator at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in setting up and operating the Abbey steel tube mill. This position ensures high-quality production of steel tubing while leading team members to achieve maximum efficiency. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong mechanical aptitude, and prioritizes safety.
Shift: 3rd Shift 7 PM - 5:30 AM
Pay: $20 to $23 per hour plus Production Bonus (recent averages of $3 to $5 per hour)
What You'll Do
Sets up and operates the Abbey Mill to ensure efficient production.
Oversees quality issues related to tubing and implements corrective actions as needed.
Generates and places tags on all manufactured bundles.
Completes daily paperwork, including production records and timesheets, and submits them at the end of each shift.
Ensures the end welder's micrometer readings are turned in with production paperwork.
Conducts safe, timely, and efficient changeovers.
Verifies accurate setups using micrometers, pi tape, level, and tape measures.
Maintains a clean, organized work area daily.
Attends all scheduled safety meetings and enforces company safety policies.
Demonstrates teamwork and cooperation with other employees and supervisors.
Cross-trains others for the position and is open to being cross-trained in other roles.
Complies with OSHA safety guidelines, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, ensuring safety devices and guarding are in place and functional.
Submits detailed and accurate work orders for equipment issues as they occur.
Who You Are
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to read, interpret, and use micrometers, pi tape, levels, tape measures, and other hand tools.
Experience operating overhead cranes and ground-operated equipment.

Position Overview: Heavy Equipment operators are responsible for a variety of material-moving equipment daily according to schedule and instructions from Heavy Equipment Coordinator, choosing and setting up the right crane or lift truck for the safe hoisting of equipment and material.
Essential Functions:
Inspect machines and equipment daily, perform routine maintenance procedures and minor repairs as required and initiate additional repair requests from mechanics when necessary.
Ensure equipment lift accessories are in good working condition.
Maintain material moving equipment in good working condition.
Inspect cables for wear and install or replace cables, as needed under Fleet Mechanic supervision.
Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload.
Inspect bundle packaging for conformance to regulations or customer requirements and remove and batch packaging tickets.
Direct helpers engaged in placing blocking or outrigging under cranes.
Direct truck drivers backing vehicles into loading bays and cover, uncover, or secure loads for delivery.
Ensure cargo is properly secured prior to transporting.
Signal others to coordinate vehicle movement.
Provide additional support to other crane operators as necessary, including working overtime if necessary to complete tasks.
Control cranes, lifts and other equipment using standard operating procedures to ensure effective transportation of materials and safety for all personnel on site.
Maintain visual and radio contact with ground operators according to best practices and site safety regulations and respond to questions and instructions clearly and quickly.
Maintain and update DOT driver log information daily.
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
