Full-time Description Primary function is to monitor the extrusion processes while producing a variety of sheet widths and thicknesses of foam rolls as per order specification and report any machinery inconsistencies to the Supervisor, Shift Lead and/or Manager. To maintain Darnel safety & quality standards in all aspects of job performance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 01. Set-up/start-up extruder and make die adjustments as required. 02. Efficiently string the line, doff rolls and grind scrap. 03. Record and monitor line settings and react quickly to any process changes in order to avoid major line disruptions. 04. Ensure quality of the product by use of calipers, scales, micrometers and/or other measurement devices or equipment. 05. Prepare and complete quality control paperwork, production tracking and computer data entry on a daily basis. 06. Report any machinery problems to the Lead Operator/Supervisor or Manager and communicate with maintenance the required machine repairs. 07. Maintain a chronological logbook for the extrusion processes by shift and document any shift issues or events. 08. Maintain good housekeeping on machines, floors, trashcans and waste according to AIB requirements. 09. Operate forklift to prepare, maintain and retrieve raw materials while ensuring proper set-up for the next shift. 10. Properly label, pelletize and stage finished product. 11. Use PeopleSoft to report production, generate labels and consume product. NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 12. Cross-training on all extrusion processing equipment. i.e., blending system, vacuum system, screen changer, extruder controls, winders, etc. 13. Perform any other assigned duties or tasks requested by management. PHYSICALS DEMANDS: 01. Vision correctable to 20/20. 02. Lifting up to 55 lbs. from floor to waist high. 03. Frequent bending and stooping. 04. Frequent standing the majority of the 12-hour shift. 05. Use a utility knife following prescribed safety regulations. WORKING CONDITIONS: Lighting is good and temperatures will be hot in summer and cold in the winter. Earplugs, eye protection, steel toed shoes and hair nets are required in the production area. Gloves, face-shield and other various types of protective equipment must be worn when working around the extruder(s). Requirements 01. High school diploma or equivalent. 02. Read, write and perform simple math and have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken. 03. Must be able to read and use measurement instruments. 04. Requires the ability to plan and perform a sequence of operations where standards and recognized operation methods are available and the making of general decisions regarding quality, set up and tolerances. 05. Job Description USALCO, LLC is a leading provider of aluminum-based component products used in water treatment, pulp and paper manufacturing, the making of catalysts for oil refining, the housing market and other sectors. To control, optimize, and produce the quality of USALCO plant performance and product through process control in relationship to the PAC processes. The assignment also requires that all federal and state regulations be followed during the work being performed in the facility. This position reports to the Production Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties or special projects may be assigned. The following is a representative, but not an all-inclusive list of activities performed by the PAC Operator. Follow all USALCO HS&E policies. Responsible for all processes involved with production unit. Monitors raw material and finished product inventories and reports to management as necessary. Charges required amounts of raw materials as required by batch sheets. Follows batch sheets and records process data as required to make specification products. Collects sample of finished goods after completion for lab analysis. Conducts chemical analysis to monitor production status. Follow procedures to adjust the batch before pumping out to finished tank. Operates Filtration system and transfers product between tanks. Maintains levels of storage tanks at safe levels, particularly during filter operation and reactor pump out. Communicates batch/filtration status to on-coming shift. Facilitates the upkeep, organization, and maintenance of process equipment. Provides housekeeping around PAC Production/filtration area as well as other areas of plant. Responsible for filtration of finished PAC product to final tanks. Responsible for the initiation and documentation of all technical information which may directly or indirectly relate to PAC. Included are the batch sheets, raw material information, tank levels, final adjustment of specific gravity, and the results of product analysis. Responsible for transfer of PAC throughout PAC production and storage systems. Responsible for using proper safety equipment, making sure all safety equipment is in working order and, if not, promptly reporting any deficiencies to the Production Manager for immediate attention. Being in proper dress attire and always conducting themselves in a safe and proper manner at all times. Responsible for the startup and completion of any special duties or tasks that may arise during the operation as required by the Production Manager or Plant Manager. Assist in plant wide cleanup efforts as needed. Broad job knowledge is required to perform somewhat complex duties in an environment that is mostly hot and dusty. Considerable physical activity including moving about stairways and platforms, lifting aluminum ingots, working in difficult, tight, and uncomfortable places, sweeping, shoveling and some heavy lifting may be required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None QUALIFICATIONS: The assignment requires background in plant operations and a broad knowledge of all equipment and processes associated with producing PAC. Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations is required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: See Qualifications above. Move and operate hoses and piping (hoses less than 50 pounds) Bend and stoop to move and operate pumps and other equipment. Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Front End Loader Operator to join our team at the Hot Mix Asphalt Plant in Holly Ridge, LA. This position involves operating a Caterpillar 980/988 series loader to handle aggregate stockpiles, load bins, and support asphalt plant operations. The ideal candidate will have prior aggregate handling experience, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced plant environment. Key Responsibilities Safely operate 980/988 series loaders to move, load, and manage aggregate materials. Maintain proper stockpile organization and material blending as directed. Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and minor routine maintenance. Assist with plant operations including material flow and loadout support. Work collaboratively with plant staff and supervisors to meet daily production goals. Adhere to all company safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Dependable attendance and ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and occasional nights. Must be safety-conscious and team-oriented.
