Adjunct faculty serve as temporary part-time faculty and are appointed as needed on an ongoing basis. The primary duty is effective teaching and recordkeeping associated with college-level career technical educational courses. MAJOR DUTIES The instructor will share responsibilities with other members of the department for program and curriculum development, maintaining a record system for student achievement, and delivering /creating customized training for local industry. The instructor will successfully complete instructor training provided by the National Center for Construction Educational and Research. As assigned, prepares and teaches courses both in a classroom setting and at the dig site; delivers lectures, assignments and tests; evaluates and records student performance; teaches hands-on driving skills in College-provided pieces of heavy equipment. Adjunct faculty are hired on a semester basis, depending upon the instructional needs identified for each semester.
