The position exists to support all activities related to the operation of the Allentown Pilot Plant. The Pilot Plant Operator role utilizes process knowledge and operations experience to safely and proficiently operate processes within a pilot plant for process development scale-up activities and production of new products in a multi-purpose facility. This pilot plant supports several businesses. Projects change on a weekly basis, and many of the products are on critical timelines for customer trials and sales. New projects may go through a safety review process requiring procedure development and possibly equipment modifications. The role includes performing instructions per test plans, maintaining batch sheets, logging data, and correcting, maintaining, participating in safety reviews, and building process equipment as needed.
Responsibilities
* Conduct the operation of the pilot plant to support process development and scale-up of new products and productivity programs.
* Follow operating procedures to ensure safe, and efficient operation of the pilot plant facility.
* Operate and perform checks on process equipment and monitor and record process conditions.
* Manage overall operation, including 10-12 process vessels, distillation, filtration, solids processing, analytical equipment, and operation of a fork truck.

Job Purpose
The Warehouse Operator will conduct all receiving and shipping operations of raw materials as well as finish products at the Manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Working conditions will consist of a paint factory environment that has the potential of exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, heat and noise (ranges 75db to 85db). The job entails intimate interaction with high speed, moving, heated and cooled equipment. Several pinch-points exist. The employee will regularly have to work around moving forklifts, coating factory equipment (such as mixing equipment, pumps, filling equipment, etc.). It is an indoor job in a semi-air-conditioned building, largely protected from outside weather conditions.
Physical requirements are standing for periods of time, sitting, working on a computer, walking, writing, kneeling, crouching and climbing stairs. The employee must have good hearing and good vision, including peripheral vision and depth perception, to determine proper fit and operation of parts and equipment and product cleanliness to eliminate sources of product contamination in the clean-up process. The employee must also be able to perform the following tasks:
* Ability to work at ease from elevated platforms and access stairways.
* Occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 550 Lbs. or up to 100 Lbs. with assistance.

Job Title: Chemical OperatorJob Description The position exists to support all activities related to the operation of the Allentown Pilot Plant. The Pilot Plant Operator role utilizes process knowledge and operations experience to safely and proficiently operate processes within a pilot plant for process development scale-up activities and production of new products in a multi-purpose facility. This pilot plant supports several businesses. Projects change on a weekly basis, and many of the products are on critical timelines for customer trials and sales. New projects may go through a safety review process requiring procedure development and possibly equipment modifications. The role includes performing instructions per test plans, maintaining batch sheets, logging data, and correcting, maintaining, participating in safety reviews, and building process equipment as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct the operation of the pilot plant to support process development and scale-up of new products and productivity programs.
+ Follow operating procedures to ensure safe, and efficient operation of the pilot plant facility.
+ Operate and perform checks on process equipment and monitor and record process conditions.
+ Manage overall operation, including 10-12 process vessels, distillation, filtration, solids processing, analytical equipment, and operation of a fork truck.
+ Document knowledge gained from development work including observations in a notebook or batch sheet.
+ Actively participate in the EH&S of the pilot plant operation including applying site safety policies, drafting procedures and job safety analyses, participating in process hazard reviews, maintaining storage of raw materials and disposal of hazardous waste, and writing permits for support and maintenance activities.
+ Suggest and make equipment modifications to meet new process requirements in support of active projects.
+ Support the Pilot Plant operations by ordering equipment, raw materials, and supplies, and performing analytical on raw materials and products.
