THIS POSITION IS FOR TEMPORARY WORK AND OUTAGE WORK.
Perform routine field activities in support of Steam Plant Operations and/or FGD operations. These positions will report to the Operations Team Supervisor. Examples of desired field work include but are not limited to performing daily checks in assigned area (Waste Water Treatment, FGD, Steam Plant, etc.) monitor running equipment, pulling bottom ash, unloading trucks (fuel oil, urea, hydrated lime, caustic, acid, ammonia, etc.), routine sampling and analysis, loading ball mill balls, assist qualified journeyman as needed. These positions are rotating shift positions. Selected employees will be assigned to rotating shift work, maintenance week schedules, training schedules, Lab schedules or a combination of those.

What a Day Looks Like:
Build and solder electronic circuit boards to class 2 and class 3 requirements in accordance with J-STD.
Solder and install components, wires, and adhesives on PC Boards.
Read and work from assembly processes, procedures, engineering drawings and specifications.
Assemble circuit boards in accordance with standardized processes, procedures and methods.
Work with mechanical and/or electrical assemblies involving fixed indicating meters, in-circuit test/functional test, marking machines, jigs & fixtures, packaging, wire cutting, stripping & twisting equipment, various types of fastening devices involving power operations, hand tools and gauges (fixed, micrometers, calipers, rules).
Assemble and/or repair printed wiring assemblies (pwa), subassemblies, instruments, and final assemblies of various components utilizing a wide range of tools, work processes and skills to approved documented procedures/specifications.
Perform ICT and Functional testing on various products.
Crimp pins, using both hand and semi-automatic crimping tools.
Use heat guns to install heat shrink and/or solder splices.
Strip wire using thermal, hand and semi-automatic strippers.
Perform light mechanical assembly duties.
Perform inspection of your work and the work of your co-workers.
Record time and quantities on daily production logs and time sheets.
Read and work from assembly processes, procedures, engineering drawings and specifications.
Identify and document problems on assemblies and suggest solutions.
This position typically works under general supervision and direction.
Performs other assembly duties as required.
