General Description Provides reliable, efficient, and cost-effective collection, transportation, and disposal of material. This position is responsible for providing service to residential and commercial customers and is required to be able to operate the equipment required to complete this work. Drivers will typically have an assigned route and as needed, will perform related tasks. Work is performed under the general direction of the Solid Waste Manager, Solid Waste Superintendent and Solid Waste Supervisors. Ability to communicate effectively; understand and follow oral and written instructions, maps, GPS, and route books. Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public. Titan America, LLC has an immediate opening for an Equipment Operator for our aggregates operations, primarily stationed in Medley, FL. This wage non-exempt position is assigned to the Mobile Equipment Department and will report to the Production Supervisor. Responsibilities Perform an adequate pre-shift inspection of equipment and report any safety hazards and concerns promptly. Maintain equipment to OEM specifications and in good working order. Fill out all required documentation and submit to supervision in timely fashion. Operate bulldozers such as Komatsu D65 and Caterpillar D6 class. Must be able to carry grade. Operate excavators such as Komatsu PC490 and Caterpillar 349 class. Operate front end loaders such as Komatsu WA500 and John Deere 844K/904P class. Operate haul trucks such as Komatsu HM400 or Volvo A45G class. Perform utility tasks such as shoveling, water hosing, and others as required. Perform grade work and clearing as directed. Maintain dragline pad, drill pad, and haul roads. Drain wet areas. Build limerock roads. Load customer trucks as directed. Yard open from 6am-4pm. Assist with required preventive maintenance on the equipment. Grease and fuel own equipment. Follow all safety checks, company policies, and MSHA regulations.
