What You Will Be Doing
As a Machine Operator, your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Follows instructions to machine, fabricate, or assemble parts to print and operation sheet specifications using conventional, CNC, and sheet metal machines including saws, riveters, fasteners, setters, presses, spot welders, and hand tools including grinders, Helicoil installation tools, etc.
Interprets CAD data, prints and sketches with regard to fabrication and can follow written and/or verbal instructions
Performs secondary operations during the machine cycle such as deburring and straightening
Performs sheet metal/machine shop general laborer tasks including but not limited to grinding/sanding weldments using portable and stationary pneumatic tools, straightening bent and twisted parts/assemblies using manual jacks and hydraulic presses, washing
parts/assemblies in aqueous and ultrasonic machines, assist painters with prep work, sand/shot blasting steel weldments
Inspects parts as they are produced using standard gages, micrometers, indicators, vernier calipers, depth gages, and other measuring devices, to ensure conformity to specifications
Inspects cutting tools for wear to ensure the quality of parts, reports worn tools to the supervisor or set up person, and makes adjustments during production run as required to maintain quality parts and to keep the machine running
Maintains coolant levels to ensure a steady supply of coolant/cutting fluids to the machine
Maintains workstation/cell in organized manner and in compliance with any applicable safety standards
Receives and, when assigned, provides cross-training for other tasks related to department functions and procedures
Performs minor preventive maintenance to equipment
Performs other job-related duties as required by management
Adheres to safety guidelines and the correct procedures for performing tasks to prevent personal injury or damage to product and/or equipment

Follow lockout/tagout procedures when servicing or unjamming equipment.
Perform daily checks and routine cleaning of palletizer and surrounding area.
Report malfunctions or safety issues to the supervisor or maintenance.
Work closely with case packers and forklift drivers to maintain steady flow.
Notify team of delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
Assist in load prep, pallet movement, or rework as assigned.
Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs, PPE requirements, and hazard reporting
Perform all other duties or tasks as assigned by management to support departmental or company objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, packaging, or manufacturing environment preferred
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to safely operate automated machinery
Basic computer, mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail in counting and labeling
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in cold, hot, or fast-paced production and warehouse environments

Summary/Objective
This position performs tasks required for the operation of hydraulic excavation equipment for the construction/upgrade of underground utilities, including communications conduit, gas, water, sewer, electric, and more.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Load and unload equipment in a manner that is secure and damage-free
Transport associated tools, materials, and/or equipment safely
Complete a daily inspection of equipment prior to commencing work
In conjunction with the crew, operate the equipment to assist in placing underground utilities
Operate equipment in accordance with company and industry standards
Responsible for locating existing underground utilities and verifying them according to blueprints
Identify utilities in the construction area and bore path
Connect/stub-up conduit and wire, as required
Dig pits, trenches, or potholes as required, including windows when crossing utilities
Restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
Accurately complete all required company documentation for each assignment (i.e., timesheet, vehicle log, expense report)
Adhere to all established company safety policies and perform work in a safe manner

Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction prints, plans, and specifications
