THE ROLE

What You Will Do

Trim gates and flash to customer quality standards.
Keep an accurate count of all parts, either manually or using scales.
Fill out count summaries, work orders, and labels accurately and legibly. Verify lot numbers with work order and container.
Communicate effectively with other employees. Notify oncoming operator of any problems and answer any questions.
Obtain necessary supplies for the oncoming operator.
Make suggestions to improve the operator procedures.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Keep area clean and neat for next shift.

About this Role:
The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe transportation of materials and equipment. This role includes loading and unloading equipment and materials as needed. Additionally, the operator will skillfully and safely operate and maintain various construction equipment, such as cable plows, backhoes, mini excavators, skid steers, rock saws, and other utility construction equipment.
What You'll Do
Position Responsibilities:
Operate all heavy machinery safely.
Dig trenches, back-fill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications.
Transport materials and equipment.
Load and unload equipment and materials as needed.
Follow all on-site safety procedures.
Ensure contents and equipment are properly secured during transportation.
Comply with all DOT regulations and rules.
Perform daily vehicle pre-trip inspections and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA).
What You'll Bring
Position Qualifications:
Possess a valid DL and have relaiable transportation/ CDL Class A (not required, but premium pay is included if held or obtained).
Experience operating heavy equipment and machinery.
Clean driving record (no more than 2 tickets in the last 5 years).
Strong focus on quality and safety.
Excellent time management skills.
Willingness to perform all aspects of the job, including hand digging trenches if machinery cannot reach specific areas.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. The role operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high winds. The work environment will vary throughout the day, including changes in terrain, traffic, urban, and rural settings. There may be occasional exposure to natural gas and the risk of electrical shock, as well as moderate to loud noise levels.
Physical Requirements:
The employee must be able to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate extreme weather conditions, and follow worksite safety instructions. The role requires prolonged and repeated activities such as hand digging, lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, feeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds.

Job title: Loader Operator Duration: 10 months Term
Responsible for preparing organic mixes using a heavy equipment loader, pushes piles to ensure segregation of materials and places material in the shakers to ensure the machines have a continuous flow of material
Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment (loader/dozer)
Ability to maintain stockpile slopes to ensure safe work environment
Ability to sit in a loader for many hours in a dusty, hot environment
Ability to climb into and out of equipment repeatedly
Knowledge of safe practice and procedures
Ability to read English and/or follow instructions, and communicate effectively
Qualifications
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares organic mixes by using the Bill of Materials to ensure the correct ingredients are used in the correct proportions.
Supplies the line with a continuous supply of material
Pushes piles to ensure setbacks, pile height and stockpile shaping meets the criteria set by the Department of Environmental Health Services
Performs a safety and equipment check before each use of the loader
Receives load tickets from haulers, ensures accuracy, signs, accumulate until the end of the day and forwards the tickets in a neat and clean appearance to the office personnel for inventory entry
Pumps diesel fuel into the loader by an electrical pump and ensures all safety practices are used to prevent injury
Monitors the stock piles for excessive heat, turns stockpiles and ensures the proper amount of water is used to prepare the stockpile for production use
Meets quality and quantity standards- Performs the proper operation and minor maintenance of equipment- Accurately verifies quantity of material.
