Overview :
The Control Room Operator i s responsible for 24×7 remote operations of MN8 's renewable fleet across the country . This includes monitoring and operational support via SCADA and CMMS systems . Following established processes and procedures to ensure proper and safe operations . Identifying and efficiently dispatching personnel to correct deficiencies . Communicating with external parties to such as Scheduling Coordinators, Transmission Operators and other various regulatory personnel. Additionally, Control Room Operators are responsible for ensuring all NERC regulations and requirements are met . All remote operations will be performed from the Dallas, Tx Office.
As the Control Room Operator, you will:
Monitoring and operating sites as directed by procedures and Operational Directives.
Utilize provided information to make decision with financial impact to the company.
Interacting with Field personnel, Grid Operators, and our customers.
Ensure all identified site issues have a corresponding, properly documented ticket within the CMMS.
Review and ensure Logging of regulatory calls, resets and all other items not handled by the CMMS system.
Investigate and escalate identified issues to Performance Engineering as required.
Ensure operation and maintenance activities meet or exceed contractual obligations. (e.g. performance and availability guarantees, preventive maintenance, reactive response times, landscape management, panel washes, non-conformity correction, etc.)
Provide information and support to dispatched field personnel to ensure successful site response.
Any other duties and responsibilities as determined by the manager.
Our Ideal Candidate will have:
2-Year technical degree, Military experience in a technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
Operational knowledge of solar, storage, or EV charging.
Knowledge and understanding of solar plant construction and comprehension of how onsite equipment interacts with the overall plant.
Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
Experience in SCADA systems, PLC, or plant control systems.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Experience in plant operations and control rooms.
Experience in Generator Operator, Scheduling Coordinator, or Transmission Operator is preferred.
Knowledge of electrical theory.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite to include word, excel, OneNote, and outlook.
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to make decisive decisions based on available information when support personnel are not available.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to drive a vehicle.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to walk distances up to 5 miles in a day.

The Position:
Under general supervision, operates heavy equipment and machinery to assist in the installation and repair of the City's water and sewer utilities. This is accomplished by preparing machinery and equipment for use, performing preventative maintenance, repairing equipment as necessary, and assisting department crew with manual tasks. Other duties may include assisting in inspecting water facilities, hauling debris to the City dump, performing lawn and cleaning maintenance of pump stations, and interfacing with other City employees and citizens. * Assists in inspection of water facilities including Pump Stations, both Elevated and Ground storage tanks, water distribution system, and wastewater collection system by conducting a physical inspection along with preparing the supporting documentation as outlined per State requirements.
* Provides documents that assist the department in water loss calculations, water quality standards, Inflow and Infiltration issues, and any other associated documents by physically checking water samples, flow meters, and preparing the supporting documentation as outlined per State requirements.
* Hauls debris as needed by operating trucks and tractors, loading debris such as sand, mud, rock and dirt onto tractor, transporting to the City dump, and unloading debris.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of relevant heavy machine operation work experience. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Special Requirements:
* Must possess a valid Texas Class A Commercial driver's license.
* Class C Water Distribution Certification or Class III Sewer Collection Certification is preferred.

Section 1 - Position Summary
This individual in this position performs duties in conjunction with the NTMWD Facilities Services operations. The position is responsible for the operation of specialized heavy equipment necessary for the excavation of pipeline facilities and various other construction type activities. Additionally, this position may be required to perform supervisory duties equivalent of a crew leader when necessary.
Section 2 - Major Responsibilities
Operates and monitors performance of heavy construction type equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, scrapers, off-road trucks, graders etc., with minimal supervision.

Must be able to excavate for repair of large diameter (12 inch to 144 inch) transmission lines that are in very close proximity of Franchise Utilities such as Fiber, Gas, Electrical and other municipal lines.
Must be able to purchase parts and materials through the NTMWD purchasing guidelines to repair pipeline leaks or maintain equipment.
Must have knowledge to acquire needed DOT permits for oversized loads in absence of Pipeline Crew leader.

Section 4 - Education and Experience
Two years of experience in operation of heavy construction type equipment.
Requires a valid Texas Commercial Driver's License Class A
Must obtain a tanker and HAZMAT endorsement within six months following employment.
Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Prefer a Class “C” Distribution and or Type II Collections license issued by TCEQ
Section 5 - Environmental Factors, Activity Levels and Equipment
This position requires moderate physical exertion with daily lifting requirements up to 25 pounds. Working conditions include exposure to weather and odor.
