Work is heavy and requires exertion of up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Lifting and carrying of 10 to 50 pounds frequently is required. Reaching and lifting overhead is frequent. Job requires standing, crawling, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching a majority of the time. Performs work on poles at heights of up to 75 feet, normally in awkward positions. Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a Safety Service Patrol Operator to join our team! In this role you will assist motorist on highways with disabled vehicles and provides traffic control and other assistance as needed. This includes changing tires, providing gas, jump starting vehicles, working to maintain safety on the roadways, and other duties.
What You'll Be Doing:
Patrols designated Honolulu freeway routes and assist stranded motorists by making quick-fix repairs including changing tires, providing gas, jump starting vehicles
Monitors the safety of roadways (vehicle crashes, disabled/abandoned vehicles, debris, and lane-closing events, signal malfunctions, and general incident/congestion)
Works closely with other first responders at highway incidents by providing incident response, on-scene traffic control and basic first aid.
Communicates with Traffic Operations Center (TOC) staff with regard to disabled vehicles, abandoned vehicles, debris, and lane-closing events and coordinates operations
Offers tow services to stranded motorists
Assists at motor vehicle collisions by stabilizing the accident scene and providing first aid to injured parties when necessary
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Must hold a valid and current State of Hawaii drivers license.
Must be able to pass a background check and driving record investigation.
Must be able to pass drug testing both at time of hire and during random inspections.
Must have a general working knowledge vehicle maintenance.
Ability to lift, reach, stoop and carry at least 50+ pounds (non-repetitive) and work with tow and vehicle equipment such as dollies, tires and floor jacks
Ability to secure tow equipment including towing dollies to towed vehicles, removing and replacing equipment on the tow truck

**Essential Duties:**
+ Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload. This also includes moving levers, depressing foot pedals, and turning dials to operate cranes, cherry pickers, electromagnets, or other moving equipment for lifting, moving, and placing loads.
+ Inspect cranes, rigging, hardware and attachments.
+ Understand various types of signals used during crane picks.
+ Inspect cables and grappling devices for wear and install or replace cables as needed. Frequent inspections and adjustment of crane mechanisms and lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions and damage is expected.
+ Clean, lubricate, and maintain mechanisms such as cables, pulleys, and grappling devices, making repairs, as necessary.
+ Direct helpers engaged in placing blocking and outrigging under cranes.
+ Load and unload bundles from trucks, and move containers to storage bins, using moving equipment.
+ Weigh bundles, using floor scales, and record weights for company records.
+ Review daily work and delivery schedules to determine orders, sequences of deliveries, and special loading instructions.
+ Direct truck drivers backing vehicles into loading bays, and cover, uncover, and secure loads for delivery.
+ Inspect bundle packaging for conformance to regulations and customer requirements and remove and batch packaging tickets.
+ Promote a safe work environment and communicate jobsite hazards.

Position Qualifications:
