Job Description:
Under minimum supervision, operate Class II Drinking water plant and Industrial Wastewater Plant, plus operate a non-potable extraction and filter plant for boiler use, plus Class S wastewater plant. Will be responsible for process control, compliant operation of water and wastewater plants including record keeping. Make periodic checks of all equipment and make minor repairs and adjustments as appropriate to ensure continuity of operation. Operate natural gas, oil fired steam boilers on plant in a safe manner consistent with accepted operating procedures for industry. Operate boiler feed water treatment systems, and blowdown treatment systems. Maintain all necessary records and paperwork. Candidate must be flexible in accepting additional duties as assigned by supervision. Shift work and Overtime will be required.
The utility operator in this position will be responsible for maintaining excellent housekeeping at the water, wastewater and/or boiler plants and working directly with the maintenance department to keep all equipment operating properly. This operator will be responsible for helping train and instruct other utility operators in the proper operation of equipment and systems.
Pay Rates (Note: these are union rates and are non-negotiable)
Class I Utility Operator: $32.74 per hour
Class II Utility Operator: $31.74 per hour
Basic Qualifications:
For Class 1 Utility Operator:
High School Diploma/GED required
Class S Waster Water certification required within 1 year
Class II water license required
A minimum of 2 years' experience operating natural gas and oil-fired boilers and experience with steam boilers is preferred.
4 years of experience operating potable water treatment plants, and/or 4 years' experience operating waster plants, collecting water and wastewater samples while using proper techniques while maintaining proper records.

Utilities are responsible for general housekeeping of the production area, packing, case making, inspecting, other general factory tasks in accordance with established procedures, specifications and other guidelines. The primary duties of a Utility role include:
+ Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
+ Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
+ Visually inspect finished product for defects and ensure that cases are properly sealed.
+ Pack bottles in accordance to the customer specification.
