Key Responsibilities
Operational Support

POSITION PURPOSE The Chemical Operator will monitor and operate equipment and facilities, including field equipment, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures. PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):
Start up and shut down (normal and emergency) plant systems and components.
Operate, monitor and control plant systems; visually inspect, monitor equipment and process conditions.
Prepares equipment for maintenance work by isolating, clearing and locking out.
Reviews, follows and, if qualified, revises detailed process operating procedures, maintenance procedures and safety procedures.
Troubleshoots equipment to restore to normal operation.
Analyzes charts and logs to identify potential or actual problems.
Identifies system problems to stabilize plant to normal conditions.
Trains new operators in the area, reinforcing safety and environmental principles.
Performs loading and unloading of railcars, tank trucks and totes.
Perform laboratory analysis of products.
Clerical duties as required.
Shipping duties as required.
Operate mobile equipment including manlifts, fork trucks, yard-dog and trackmobile.
Participate/Lead various site teams.

Qualifications
In order to be qualified for this role, the following is required:
High School Diploma/GED equivalent
Minimum of 2 years' experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Ability to navigate the tools of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc.) and learn new computer systems and software applications
Willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including overtime, nights, weekends, holidays and short notice call-in if required

Position
This position is part of our Robotics Security Operations Center (RSOC) team and will be assigned to further the security mission within the client's property and airspace. From within the RSOC located at our headquarters, this position is responsible for teleoperating both ground and aerial robots to conduct preplanned security patrols, respond to perimeter alarms, and monitor live video feeds across all client sites. This position will, under general direction, serve to identify and respond to security incidents, threats, and other risks to clients' facilities and employees. This position will also respond to security incidents such as the triggering of alarms and intrusion detection sensors.
This position may be required to assist drone and robot operators with technical analysis and weather briefings. The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working in a similar control room or security operations center environment. It is essential that they have an ability to maintain good relationships, a good team work ethic, and have a passion for technology. Primary Responsibilities
In general, operate all processing equipment in a safe and environmentally responsible manner to produce high quality ion exchange products in a timely and cost-effective fashion.
In general, load raw materials and chemicals, as well as unload and package all finished resin products.
In Area 2000, operate pumps, regeneration columns, acid/caustic dilution stations and other equipment to perform chemical regenerations to convert, steam, rinse, hot rinse, backwash, and mix/package processed ion exchange resins to H+ and OH- ionic forms.
In Area 3000, operate pumps, regeneration columns, chemical metering/dilution stations and other equipment to convert, regenerate, steam, rinse, hot rinse, backwash, disinfect, dewater, etc. a variety of products. Also, operate specialty equipment, including a filter press and stirred tank systems.
In Area 4000, operate pumps, carbon loading, acid washing, dewatering, drying, dust control and packaging equipment to produce and package various grades of granular activated carbon products.
In Area 6000, operate pumps, regeneration columns, chemical metering/dilution stations and other equipment to separate, regenerate and re-mix a variety of products. Also, operate dry-blending equipment for blending of finished resins.
In Area 7100, operate pumps, mixing vessels and polymerization reactors to polymerize flammable monomers to solid polymer bead precursors within OSHA PSM requirements, as well as operate a slurry tank for transfer to downstream finishing areas.
In Area 7200, operate pumps, centrifuge, dryer, screener and transporter systems to finish polymer processing and load polymer to sulfonation weigh hoppers.
In area 7300, operate pumps, polymer loading equipment, sulfuric acid metering, sulfonation reactors, acid recovery vessels and acid recycle tanks to sulfonate and hydrate ion exchange products to transfer to downstream finishing areas.

Secondary Responsibilities
Promptly report all safety, environmental and operational issues to the Shift Supervisor, as well as perform basic troubleshooting to identify potential causes of such issues.
Participate and adhere to all safety procedures, especially the permit programs to safely transition equipment to/from maintenance staff or contractors.
Formally document all batch processing (and other) records thoroughly, accurately and in a timely fashion to ensure product traceability and adherence to quality procedures.
