OpSource has partnered with one of North America's largest flexible packaging companies, located in Spartanburg, SC. We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
$28 - $32 DOE
Shifts for the position:
The hours are 5pm-5am with a 4 on 4 off schedule.
On short notice, employee may be requested to work additional hours to fill in for absent co-worker, accommodate a heavier than normal workload, or assist with special projects
Job requirements for the position may include:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on extrusion machinery, including inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and calibration.
Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance activities to prevent unplanned downtime and maintain equipment performance.
Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues in a timely manner.
Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components, collaborating with team members as needed.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, malfunctions, or emergencies to minimize production disruptions.
Implement rapid solutions to restore functionality and prevent further issues.
Possess a strong understanding of extrusion equipment, mechanical systems, and electrical controls
Comply with all company safety and work rules
Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to facilitate repairs.
Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies needed for maintenance activities.
Coordinate with accurately record maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replacements in logs and maintenance management systems.
Participate in identifying process enhancements and efficiency improvements, contributing to the optimization of maintenance practices.
Collaborate with production teams and other maintenance staff to share insights and ensure seamless communication.
Provide guidance and training to junior technicians when necessary.
Maintain and service or assist in maintaining and servicing all process equipment, and associated equipment in all departments of the plant
Maintain and service all equipment related to facilities, air compressors, chillers, ventilation system, plumbing, etc.
Respond to troubleshoot, repair or improve individual machines and mechanical, electrical power, and control systems
Perform repairs and provide preventative maintenance on production and non-production equipment as directed
Work with maintenance management to continuously improve plant operations, maintenance or preventative maintenance procedures
Correctly operate, maintain, and use equipment and tools required for assigned fabrication and maintenance duties
Accurately and legibly record and maintain records
General housekeeping duties
Operate forklift, bucket lift, scissor lift, etc.
Qualifications for the position:
Professional background
Minimum 3 years maintenance & preventative maintenance experience in manufacturing operation.
Professional competencies
Basic understanding and ability to repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry and mechanical systems
HVAC, EPA and/or CPO certifications may be required
Experience and knowledge of safety procedures including but not limited to: Lock-Tag-Try and Zero Energy State (ZES) procedures, electrical hazards, thermal and chemical hazards
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must be able to read, write and understand simple and concise instructions and information in English.
Must be able to carry on a conversation and communicate various matters and technical information in English

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician Sr's primary objective is to perform preventative maintenance and repair work on various machinery and mobile equipment used for material handling, metal fabrication and assembly of road construction equipment and trailers. This person is responsible for completing work orders in a timely manner to optimize machine availability and uptime as well as performing general facilities maintenance work. Senior Maintenance Technicians are expected to have masterly level skills at troubleshooting a broad range of equipment and make significant contributions to preventative maintenance solutions and the apprenticeship program.
MAJOR DUTIES:
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on various machinery and mobile equipment included but not limited to lasers, burn tables, presses, air compressors, CNCs, rigging equipment, fork trucks and manlifts
• Evaluate equipment failures and unplanned downtime to improve preventative maintenance
• Aid in the development of new routine maintenance tasks in promoting a proactive culture
• Monitor and complete work orders in a timely manner
• Uphold highest safety standards, reinforce tag out of unsafe equipment/areas, and ensure safety devices are properly secure while performing maintenance work and after work is completed
• Perform general facilities maintenance included but not limited to garage doors, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry work
• Actively train and mentor teammates enrolled in the Maintenance Apprenticeship Program
• Promote Etnyres 5S CANDO program by maintaining clean and orderly work area
• Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma required; additional technical certification in multi-craft maintenance (or similar) preferred. Minimum 5 years experience as a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician in a manufacturing setting required to include experience with 3 phase power / 480v and low voltage circuits; PLC troubleshooting a plus. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and service mindset are essential as well as being self-driven with the ability to work autonomously with limited direction.

What You'll Need:

Tool Proficiency: Experience using maintenance tools and equipment effectively.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn. Manual dexterity and good balance are critical for working at ground level and at elevations up to 35 feet.
Technical Interest: Strong curiosity about math, electricity, shop mechanics, electric motors, and appliances.

Intake Technician - Production

The
Intake Technician
plays an intricate role for the overall success of the production teams. The Intake Technician receives our client's historical documents, performs, or leads a detailed review of documents received, and inputs data about each item into Microsoft Excel & SharePoint. Information is then added to Kofile's ERP: NetSuite, for each project before the project teams process the client's documents.
The
Intake Technician
helps to resolve problems or bottlenecks in production processes by supporting the Intake Supervisor as needed. Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost, and customer service. Responsible for managing and owning instrumental functions of the business while creating an engaged and collaborative work force.

● Handles manually inputting important project details directly into an electronic format, creating spreadsheets with large amounts of information.

You Should Have:

Must be able to lift, push, pull 50lbs regularly; up to 75lbs occasionally; and 75+lbs with assistance.
