Position Summary
Under general supervision, perform a variety of manufacturing assembly tasks in accordance with product documentation. This role covers a large variety of electronic assembly tasks, processes, soldering, machine operation, material uses, operating equipment, and hand tools. Team members may work at several workstations, on product that is typically ‘shoe box' sized. Employees in this role must be able to learn and grow within the manufacturing team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform assembly of electronic components, subassemblies, and final products using small hand tools, electronic screw drivers, general adhesive staking, and soldering equipment.
Read and interpret assembly instructions, product drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and job order travelers.
Conduct visual inspections of workmanship.
Document work performed and complete required production records accurately.
Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Collaborate with quality control and manufacturing engineering teams to resolve assembly or product issues.
Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and product reliability.
Ability to work flexible hours and/or different shifts, as required.
Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State and Federal Regulations.
As the Company's success relies on the productivity of our team and adherence to customer product schedules, an essential function of this position is the ability to arrive to work on-time, and work each day, as scheduled.

Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED
Follow assembly drawings and work instructions
Minimal computer skills to support timekeeping and accessing data in MRP/ERP system
Manual dexterity to effectively use hand tools while performing assembly tasks
Mechanical ability to operate assembly equipment
Strong work ethic and organizational skills to meet demands of fast-paced work environment under production schedules

Work within the bounds of AS9100 Quality Management System, producing quality work product, following procedures, and documenting as appropriate.
Metric: Describe your role in achieving NuWaves' quality standards to the Quality Control Supervisor within one month of hire

1) Performs any combination of following tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems: Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
2) Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
3) Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using handtools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
4) Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel.
5) Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points, using soldering, welding, thermocompression, or related bonding procedures and equipment.
6) Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
7) Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
8) Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color coding parts and assemblies.
9) Tends machines that press, shape, or wind component parts.
10) Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
11) Performs on-line go-not-go testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
12) May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device.
13) Occupations related to assembly of printed circuit boards and fabrication of integrated circuit chips are defined under separate definitions.

**What You'll Do**
As a Electronic Assembler, you'll be part of our SAT team located in Highland Heights, OH. You'll get to:
+ Perform tool assembly and the building of sub-assemblies for instrumented mechanical and electric functions.
+ learn tool components, electric wiring and circuitry
+ read complex wiring diagrams and assembly prints
+ assemble and repair unassisted all sub-assemblies
+ understand test functions, procedures, and operation of standard test instruments and measurement systems
+ measure or test completed products with required gauging, measuring and testing devices, as pertains to the specific classifications
+ All other duties as assigned
