JOB SUMMARY
The Finishing Technician supports daily manufacturing operations in the areas of safety, product quality, throughput, and workplace organization. This role performs hands on finishing, patching and repairing parts within the process flow of ceramics-based finished goods. The technician will use visual magnification techniques and equipment and machines to assist in the validation of production to meet daily and weekly production targets.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Finish intricate ceramic components by removing or repairing various types of visual and feature indications with precision tools and techniques.
* Sit and focus for hours a time using a microscope to see and repair defects at higher magnifications.
* Perform in-process and final inspections using calibrated instruments and visual standards to ensure dimensional accuracy and cosmetic quality.
* Follow detailed work instructions, SOPs, and quality standards in compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Achieve team production and efficiency goals by meeting or exceeding operational and quality standards.
* Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to resolve build or process issues and support continuous improvement.
* Work cross functionally to perform ad-hoc duties as assigned to promote a culture of teamwork and efficiency such as assisting in develop and execution of engineering experiments as requested.
* Communicate effectively with production leadership, Quality, and Engineering to identify and resolve production issues.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with 6S and EHS policies and adherence to PPE and chemical hygiene protocols.
* Follow all PPE safety rules and policies for a safety-first culture such as safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, and lab coats in designated areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience: 0-2+ years of work experience in manufacturing, or another related field. Experience in a fast paced or additive manufacturing environment a plus. Exposure to using various lab instrumentation and test equipment a plus.
* Education: Highschool Diploma or GED
* Other Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
* Ability to work individually and in a team environment to achieve company deadlines accurately and efficiently.
* Experience with adherence to 6S standards and in a regulated safety and operational procedure environment.
* Ability to follow work and safety instructions and perform standard operating procedures with basic autonomy. Ability to follow accurately SOPs, work instructions, and SDS (Safety Data Sheet) documentation.
* Ability to perform basic math such as addition, subtraction and multiplication.
* Basic experience with Microsoft Office Suite products, and database systems (Oracle) to record production workflow for continuous manufacturing of operations for efficiency and equipment output.
* Ability to perform intermittent movement up and down stairs throughout a shift in a lab and manufacturing environment.
* Ability to sit for long periods of time in front of a microscope doing repetitive motions.
* Occasional flexibility in schedule to meet production demands due to time sensitive operations.
* Ability to pass standard vision and hearing test as part of pre-employment testing.
* Comfortable working with hazardous materials in a controlled environment.

Inventory & Clerical Support
* Maintains and updates inventory of tools, special service kits, equipment, stock items, and vehicles. Monitors disbursements, orders needed items, and obtains bid offers on new equipment.
* Utilizes college-approved contractors to ensure proper handling and disposal of waste oil and other hazardous materials. Keeps accurate records. Completes and maintains required documentation, including inventory reports, work orders, and requisitions.
Program Support
* Assists instructors. Obtains and returns training materials, sets up vehicles and other training aids, and arranges chairs, tables, and equipment. Prepare and/or aliquot samples as part of a sample preparation step for all required tests. When applicable load samples on automated instrumentation that has been validated following method quality requirements.
Perform routine daily and/or weekly verification(s) and/or calibration(s) on equipment and instrumentation following method quality requirements. Some methods will require a minimum Level 3 or 4 based on complexity and quality risk level.
Perform analysis on samples through direct testing (i.e. wet chemistry). The minimum level required to perform some methods will vary depending on complexity of the method, safety risk level, and quality risk level.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and/or instrumentation as required by the method. The minimum level required to perform preventative maintenance on some equipment and/or instrumentation will vary depending on the complexity of the task, safety risk level and quality risk level.
Perform calculations as required when conducting analytical preparations.
Perform sample preparation for multiple testing requirements.
Perform housekeeping duties as required. This includes assisting with storage and disposal of client samples.
Monitor inventory levels for supplies and reagents required for test methods.
Prepare and maintain standards and reagents. Some standards will require a minimum Level 2 depending on the complexity and quality risk.
Generate, accumulate, handle, work near, transport, and dispose of hazardous wastes.
Collect, store, and label any hazardous waste generated in compliance with the ALS policy.
Contribute to sample receival process including opening packages, sorting mail and data entry.
Participate in shift hand overs to ensure smooth transition.
Identify continuous improvement activities for the site.

What you will be doing:
•Provides professional, highly technical cardiovascular care to all cardiovascular patients, while assisting physicians during all cardiovascular procedures. Functions as a liaison for patients, families, and physicians. Assists the physician in the operation of technical equipment utilized during all procedures.
•Assists with setting up cardiac cath lab procedure rooms by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
•Knowledge of equipment utilized in procedures, pressure monitoring, cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, EKG interpretation, sterile technique, and radiation safety practices.
•Proficient in scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring for all Cath Lab procedures.
•Inspects and prepares operative area as necessary.
•Communicates relevant procedural information to physician and ancillary personnel.
•Observes sterile technique and proper disposal of infected materials.
•Records EKG information, samples and records pressure tracings, and informs appropriate personnel of changes during procedure. Maintains complete documentation of cardiovascular procedures. Ensures completion of all registry abstracts. Prepares patient for emergency coronary artery bypass graft by completing proper documentation, sending necessary blood work to lab, and notifying CV team.
•Documents all medications given, contrast injections, and attempts at vessel modification (e.g. inflations, shaves, stent placement) and other pertinent information regarding procedure.
•Responds to emergency situations appropriately and calls for assistance as needed. Provides post-catheterization information to patient and significant others.
•Assists cardiologist during procedures in team role by supplying equipment and anticipating routine and special needs.
•Assists in room clean-up after cases, and prepares room for next case.
•Performs digital imaging techniques, maintains archival storage of digitized data.
•Collects and enters correct information required for ACC Data Submission.
•Demonstrates knowledge of all supplies (catheters, guide wires, etc.) and assists with tracking supplies used to aid in proper billing and inventory control.
•Collaborates with other members of health team to determine and achieve healthcare goals. Demonstrates comprehension of cardiac pharmacology.
•Attain working knowledge of the ability to trouble-shoot Cath Lab job-related equipment.

Assisting in administration of contrast media related to particular diagnostic procedures. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.
Job Functions:
Position patients; immobilize as necessary.
Assist physician during angiographic and interventional procedures.
Operate fluoroscopic equipment. Position patients for rapid sequence filming during contrast media administration.
Set up sterile trays and other equipment practicing sterile technique.
Assist physician during procedure to include handling of instruments, operating and monitoring equipment, calling out equipment readings; alerting physician to changes in patient condition.

Maintain a par inventory of catheters, balloons, stents, guidewires, and miscellaneous kits under discretion of manager.
Monitor inventory levels and par-levels.
Maintains compliance in RQI.
Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
ARRT registered or registry eligible (equal to 2 years post high school) and licensed by the State of Ohio.
Basic EKG Class within one year.
Cardiac Interventional Radiography Certification (CIRC) or Vascular Interventional Radiography Certification within 2 years required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - will obtain during hospital orientation.
Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:
Interpersonal and basic clerical skills and ability to follow instructions.
Experience with angiography preferred.
