Specialty: Position Overview OB laborist opportunity with LVHN: Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) OB-GYN is an enterprise of multiple practices across several counties in eastern Pennsylvania that serves women's preventive, gynecological and obstetric needs. Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)-Cedar Crest is seeking an OB laborist who will work with midwives, general OB-GYN physicians and maternal-fetal medicine specialists at our largest network maternity hospital. LVHN OB-GYN supports more than 6,000 births annually and serves as a referral hospital for other in-network maternity hospitals and other regional facilities outside our health network. Our laborists serve as the primary teaching faculty for the OB-GYN residents and medical students and work closely with our maternal fetal medicine physicians for management of high-risk patients. Newborn services include a Level IV NICU and access to our Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital pediatricians, including medical and surgical specialists. In an ob laborist career with LVH-Cedar Crest, you will: Work with a team spread across 30 service sites for obstetrics and gynecology across 11 counties serving women's preventive gynecologic and obstetrics needs. Have access to five Family Birth and Newborn Centers throughout the region providing maternity care. Choose the setting in which you practice by working in intimate and familiar patient settings or busy bustling practices; some locations include gynecologic surgical care for women using traditional and advanced minimally invasive techniques.
