We are seeking a Pulmonary Critical Care physician for a private, pulmonary & critical care group practice established in 1977 consisting of twenty (20) board certified physicians and multiple advanced practice providers. We have six (6) offices with two (2) sleep centers.
Details include:
Join office with a staff of seven (7) pulmonary & critical care physicians and ten (10) advanced practice providers (two (2) office-based and eight (8) hospital-based)
Practice mixture is approximately 80% inpatient and 20% outpatient medicine
On-site intensivist services are provided 24/7
Structured monthly schedule includes twenty (20) shifts:
Seven (7) daytime ICU shifts
Five (5) to six (6) night shifts: [On-site; From 5pm to 8am starting with calls/new consults until midnight at which time our highly-trained/experienced APPs take over allowing physician 5-6 hours of sleep];
Five (5) to six (6) daytime hospital shifts
Four (4), half days of pulmonary clinic (one half day a week)
Additional hospital shifts are available if so desired

Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative care for LASIK, SMILE, and lens-based refractive procedures such as EVO ICL, CLR/RLE, and Premium Cataract.
Educate and guide patients through their vision correction journey with warmth and clarity.
Build, strengthen, and manage relationships with referring optometrists across Plano, Texas, and surrounding areas.
Develop and execute co-management strategies, including educational outreach, office visits, and training events.
Collaborate with the surgical and marketing teams to align patient care and referral growth initiatives.
Participate in ongoing clinical education and contribute to practice-wide excellence initiatives.
Occasionally assist with our OKC location for patient care and co-management support.
Support operational efficiency within clinic workflows, including scheduling optimization and team coordination to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Qualifications
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree with an active Texas & Oklahoma license (or eligibility).
Prior experience in refractive or surgical co-management preferred, but not required - we'll train the right person.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for patient-centered care.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably ModMed.
