About the Role
As a Physician, you will play a crucial role in delivering specialized psychiatric care to patients experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions. Your expertise and commitment to improving the mental well-being of our patients are essential to our mission.
Responsibilities
Provide physician leadership and psychiatric treatment to A Partial Hospitalization Program and Psychiatric clinic
Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and medical histories, to diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans.
Providing evidence-based psychiatric evaluation and medication management for patients with various mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and substance use disorders.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure coordinated patient care.
Monitoring and adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize patient outcomes, using a patient-centered and recovery-oriented approach.
Administering and managing psychotropic medications and therapies, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations.
Participating in case conferences, team meetings, and treatment planning sessions to review patient progress and provide recommendations for care.
Educating and supporting patients and their families, promoting mental health awareness and providing resources for coping and self-management.
Staying informed about the latest advancements in psychiatric care through ongoing professional development and training.

Performs physical examinations on new and return clients.
Admits patients to the hospital at which he/she has admitting privileges; may refer some clients to other institutions for hospitalization as appropriate
Performs procedures such as colposcopy, contraceptive implant insertion/removal, IUD insertion/removal, cryotherapy etc. with appropriate training, proctoring and privileging.
Contributes toward the development of goals and objectives relevant to specialty/life cycle area or other annual action plan. Attends meetings when assigned.

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Gastroenterology (GI) Hospitalist to join our integrated care team serving the South Shore region of Massachusetts. Based at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, this position offers the stability and support of a leading academic healthcare system with the feel of community-based practice.
Position Details:
• Full-time or part-time inpatient-focused role based at South Shore Hospital
• Provide consultative GI care to hospitalized patients; no outpatient clinic responsibilities
• Perform inpatient endoscopic procedures as needed, including urgent and emergent cases
• The candidate will perform outpatient procedures at the outpatient center (SSEC) 2 mornings per week
• The candidate will perform outpatient endoscopy procedures at South Shore Hospital 3 mornings per week
• Participation in weeknight call rotation (1 call night per week)
• Participation in weekend call rotation (4 call weekends per year)
• ERCP/EUS skills are welcomed but not required (candidates with these skills may enhance program capabilities and opportunities for collaboration)

• Lead the strategy, care goals, and development of the Epilepsy/EEG Section comprised of a team of Epilepsy and Neurophysiology specialists, APPs and technician support for EEG/EMU testing
• Utilize advanced neurophysiology labs to perform comprehensive individualized monitoring, including continuous and ambulatory monitoring, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Offer intra-operative monitoring services during epilepsy surgeries, leveraging our accredited epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) and state-of-the-art technology for optimal patient care and surgical outcomes.
• Join an outstanding multidisciplinary team and robust referral base that includes excellent Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Physiatrists, Neuro-Ophthalmologists, Neuro-Psychologists, and Neuro-Radiologists.
• Join one of the largest academic Neurology groups in the Chicago region, with 40+ Neurologists in 11 subspecialty sections.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team of nationally recognized medical professionals within the NorthShore Neurological Institute.
• Participate in Clinical Research supported by a dedicated research team, as desired
• Train the neurologists of tomorrow with an academic appointment from the
University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine; consistently rated by the medical students and residents as one of their best learning experiences.
