Supports data collection systems and reporting of statistical data necessary for grant or QI/QA purposes as needed.

Pilgrim Psychiatric Center (PPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to serve as the Clinical Lead on their Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. The ACT team provides comprehensive care that is community-based and occurs in the individual's home. The goal of the ACT team is to maintain care to the individual in their natural environment and reduce demand on emergency departments and inpatient hospital services. This position is based out of PPC's Patchogue, NY clinic.
As a Psychiatrist on the ACT Team, you will have an approximate caseload of 68 patients who reside in Patchogue, NY and the surrounding area and will provide comprehensive, patient centered, and recovery focused treatments to individuals, including:

SPECIAL SKILLS
CRNA's must have sharp concentration and focus, along with the ability to stay calm under stressful conditions. CRNAs must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with surgeons and the surgical support team, as well as with patients and their families. A calm and reassuring manner is one way to inspire trust in patients, who may be apprehensive about surgery, as well as the surgical team. Anesthetic patient management must be immediate and responsive. Flexibility and adaptability are required.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
A CRNA must be able to demonstrate intellectual-conceptual, integrative and quantitative abilities; skills in observation, communication and motor functions; and mature behavioral and social attributes. Sensory- CRNA must be able to detect and interpret changes in monitoring alarms and equipment. Functional vision, hearing. no impairment of sense of smell and tactile sensation must be adequate. CRNA must be able to observe a patient accurately at a distance and close.Communication-CRNA should be able to speak, hear and observe. CRNA must be able to communicate effectively- includes speech, reading and writing.Motor -CRNA should have sufficient motor function to elicit pertinent information. CRNAs should be able to stand for long periods of time and wear lead as needed for fluoroscopy, X-Ray cases. CRNAs must have the ability to lift 25 pounds and reach above and below shoulder height. CRNA must be able to negotiate patient care environments and be able to move self/patients between anesthesia locations. Coordination of both gross and fine muscular movements, equilibrium, and functional use of the senses of touch and vision is required. Intellectual-Conceptual, Integrative and Quantitative Abilities-Abilities include measurement, calculation, reasoning, analysis and synthesis. Problem-solving, the critical skill demanded requires all of these intellectual abilities. CRNA should be able to comprehend 3-dimensional relationships and understand the spatial relationships. Behavioral and Social Attributes -CRNA must possess the emotional health required for full utilization of intellectual abilities, the exercise of good judgment, the prompt completion of responsibilities.
