The CRNA is responsible for assessing patients, developing individualized anesthesia care plans, administering anesthesia, monitoring patients intraoperatively, and managing recovery from anesthesia. This role ensures safe, effective, and compassionate care while upholding the highest standards of clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments, including patient history, physical examination, and review of diagnostic data.
Develop and implement anesthesia care plans tailored to patient needs and surgical requirements.
Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care in a variety of clinical settings.
Monitor patients' vital signs, depth of anesthesia, and physiologic status during procedures.
Respond to emergency situations and provide airway management, resuscitation, and critical care support as needed.
Ensure safe emergence from anesthesia and provide post-anesthesia care, including pain management.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team.
Educate patients and families about anesthesia procedures, risks, and recovery expectations.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.

Based at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, this position offers the stability and support of a leading academic healthcare system with the feel of community-based practice.
Position Details:
• Full-time or part-time inpatient-focused role based at South Shore Hospital
• Provide consultative GI care to hospitalized patients; no outpatient clinic responsibilities
• Perform inpatient endoscopic procedures as needed, including urgent and emergent cases
• The candidate will perform outpatient procedures at the outpatient center (SSEC) 2 mornings per week
• The candidate will perform outpatient endoscopy procedures at South Shore Hospital 3 mornings per week

Summary:

Actively participate in activities to improve quality and patient satisfaction such as medical staffing committees, performance improvement projects, peer review, QA meetings, and overall use and performance of guidelines / protocols
Regularly coordinate with both the clinical and administrative leadership teams to ensure high quality and effective patient care
Teach and mentor clinical staff on an ongoing basis to ensure they are educated on the best evidence based guidelines when providing care
Communicates regularly with referring physicians, specialists, administration, patients, and other hospital departments regarding the care and treatment provided to patients
