Essential Job Functions:
Evaluates, provides diagnosis and treatment of patients of Altru who present with injuries or illnesses. Counsels patients and advises on preventative healthcare measures.

Achieves the Altru Patient Engagement and Quality & Safety goals established on an annual basis. Participates in activities and support department goals as defined by department on an annual basis.

Qualifications:
Doctorate within specified field of medical practice from respective accredited school.
Must be admissible to sit for either the Canadian or American Board or be certified by the Canadian Board and are members of either the Royal College of Physicians or Royal College of Surgeons, American board certification or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) board certification. Board certification in area of specialty must be obtained within six years of employment.
Must be granted medical staff appointments at Altru and associated facilities as are necessary to the commission of duties prior to commencement of employment.
Must be insurable under the Health System's professional liability carrier prior to commencement of employment.

This position will be responsible for providing supervision and guidance to Advanced Practice Providers (nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants with a collaborative physician agreement if required) for practice, as well as general clinical mentorship and guidance.
Serve as a clinical escalation point for APPs and other medical staff within the practice.
Education and Experience:
Must possess (or be eligible for) an active & unrestricted license to practice in North Dakota.
Must possess an unrestricted DEA license in the state(s) of practice (ND).
