I thought working at Optum was diverse and work & life balanced. The team I worked with was very supportive.
In my experience, the cons of working at Optum are 1. Poor management, 2. Higher Leadership rotation was a high-frequency, 3. Low maturity of UX culture and knowledge.
My favorite benefit of working at Optum was the flexible working schedule.
I don't like leadership. They are not helpful. Many aspects of the survey results indicate that employees are highly psychologically insecure about job security. There has been no improvement after multiple rounds of reorganization and leadership changes.
I prepared for an interview for Optum by providing authentic personal experience and a solid project that I have done.
My compensation was 1/3 lower than that of tier-one tech companies such as Google and Amazon.
Optum has a very diverse population.
I have very supportive members, which makes for the most joy at work.
The patients. I like to help the patients and create a relationship with the patients. So they can feel comfortable coming to their appointments.
That there is hardly ever teamwork and everyone looks out for themselves instead of working as a team
