Krishna is an Industrial Engineer with 20+ years of academic and industrial experience. He is a leader in conceptualizing, designing, and delivering optimization and simulation-based software solutions in Transportation and Logistics industry. Krishna has been an integral part of Optym since its inception and has contributed in product and organizational development of the company. Krishna has led the development of several software products for railroads, airlines and mining companies. His expertise in time-space network-based heuristic optimization has proven successful for solving complex problems such as train scheduling, railroad blocking, crew scheduling, and port scheduling. Krishna has also been a key contributor in developing micro-level simulation systems for the transportation industry.Krishna’s strength lies in collaborating with business and technical teams to come up with innovative solutions that meet business needs and to get that delivered efficiently. He has driven projects at a detailed level in defining business problems, understanding data, system design, mathematical modeling, solution architecture and software delivery. Krishna has also served as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing Optym’s operations, finance, Human Resources, and corporate affairs.Prior to Optym, he worked as an industrial engineer and as a supply executive for four years at Tata Steel, the largest private steel producer in India. While at Tata Steel, Krishna completed projects in workforce planning, incentive planning, performance improvement, benchmarking, capital schemes evaluation, supply-chain management, and total quality management.
