Key Responsibilities
+ **Mechanical Systems Expertise:** Subject matter authority across all major mechanical systems, including chillers, cooling distribution units (CDUs), air handling units (AHUs), pumps, cooling towers, valves, and hydronic/airflow infrastructure.
+ **BMS Alarming & SOO:** Develop, implement, and review detailed sequence of operations and ensure BMS alarming strategies align with Oracle standards and critical facility needs.
+ **System Troubleshooting:** Lead advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis of complex mechanical issues impacting data center operations. Provide tier 3 support and technical escalation as required.

+ **Project Support:** Collaborate with engineering and project teams to develop, review, and implement plans for cooling capacity upgrades, retrofits, re-commissioning, and lifecycle replacements.
+ **Reliability Engineering:** Champion reliability programs such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
+ **Technical Documentation:** Develop, review, and maintain mechanical system documentation, including ASHRAE-compliant diagrams, SOOs, commissioning scripts, and O&M manuals.
+ **Industry Standards & OEM Bulletins:** Maintain awareness of emerging mechanical technologies, OEM requirements, and standards (ASHRAE, local codes) and ensure Oracle's systems remain compliant and best-in-class.
+ **Training & Knowledge Sharing:** Mentor and train operations staff on mechanical system operation, troubleshooting, and BMS best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline strongly preferred;

8+ years of experience with mechanical systems in large-scale data centers or mission-critical environments.

* Conduct or oversee hands-on troubleshooting, repair, retrofit, and maintenance of electrical equipment
* Oversee electrical system configurations and component upgrades to ensure system integrity is maintained and that all modifications to existing systems are in compliance with best practices, including change control processes
* Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) oversight of construction projects & maintenance activity
* Lead and/or participate in root-cause analysis activities in area of expertise
* Provide training to Critical Facility Engineers and other cross functional teams on electrical equipment, systems, procedures, and changes
* Manage vendor relationships for electrical maintenance and retrofit work
* Provide feedback on global electrical maintenance strategies and global electrical system design improvements
* Travel expectations can be significant during the first 3 months for initial training and onboarding. After initial onboarding, travel expectations are 10-15%. and then ongoing occasional travel for factory witness tests, collaboration, training, etc

**Main Responsibilities:**
Training Facilitation
Lead training sessions for all new hires within the DevCenter support team, ensuring a strong foundation in process knowledge, tools, and workflows.
- Training Content Creation
Develop and maintain up-to-date training materials, documentation, and process guides to support advocate learning and continuous improvement.
- Process Communication
Act as the primary communicator for new processes or changes, ensuring advocates are kept informed and aligned with operational updates.
- Tech Router Request Reassignment
Perform daily reassignment of Tech Router requests, ensuring they are routed to the appropriate advocates or teams efficiently.
- Escalation Handling
Monitor and respond to escalated issues via the Ecomsup alias, coordinating with relevant teams for resolution and providing clear stakeholder communication.
- SME Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for advocate questions in the SME support channel, providing timely and accurate responses.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal Partner Center teams to share feedback, refine existing processes, implement new workflows, and support data reporting needs.
- Quality Assurance (QA)
Conduct QA reviews for advocate interactions, providing feedback and coaching to maintain and improve support standards.
- Resource Forecasting
Compile and present operational data to forecast resource needs for support delivery, sharing insights with planning and delivery stakeholders.
- Customer Relationship Management
Engage in direct customer interactions when needed, maintaining a high standard of support and ensuring feedback is acted upon.
