Senior Oracle Developer
Purpose, mastery and autonomy! We provide all three at ISS where we are building state of the art voting and analytical platforms, to help shareholder make key corporate decisions around the world. We're looking for an Oracle developer to design, develop and enhance large Oracle databases, data processing/ETL jobs, and data interfaces for applications. Here's what you'll be doing:
Working with business teams to understand requirements and estimate development effort.Designing the databases for highly scalable applications that manipulate large datasets in seconds Enhance our databases and SQL code to improve application stability, performance, and scalability.Participating in all phases of software development life cycle including - requirements analysis, effort estimation, design, development, unit testing, release, and support.

Here's what you need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.5-15 years of experience with Oracle including schema design, and PL/SQL programming.Strong core Oracle skills with proficiency in designing indexes, triggers, partitions etc.Experience using PL/SQL to develop client/server module-based web applications Experience developing/enhancing batch jobs processing millions of transactions per hour.Excellent Performance tuning experience Experience of query plan analysis & optimization using Oracle Enterprise Management.Experience designing, enhancing, and supporting large databases with terra bytes of data.Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work well in a team environment

We are looking for a Senior Oracle Developer who has strong hands-on database development experience in an Oracle 12c/Exadata environment. Leveraging your subject matter expertise, you work with other team members to build out investment data that serves our end clients helping them achieve their investment goals. You will have the opportunity to coach others, establish best practices, and continue to grow your own technical skills. You will be part of a high-performing team delivering tangible results to our clients in our enterprise investment data and reporting services team.

Requirements:

+ Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 5+ years of relevant Oracle development experience

+ Strong expertise in advanced PL/SQL development with Oracle 19c databases

+ Experience working in Oracle Exadata environments

+ Previous hands on experience with Unix operating systems and query optimization

+ Knowledge around automated deployments and java development skills are a huge nice to have

+ Stays abreast on the latest database concepts and designs, knows when/how/if to apply them appropriately

+ Converses in many technologies and learns new technologies quickly

+ Performs as an expert in multiple parts of the software lifecycle (e.g., coding, testing, development) and coaches other around such practices

+ Provides oversight of the all development activities on assigned projects

+ Owns technical debt for multiple components or systems

+ Provides a clear and concise explanation of business strategy, technical concepts, designs or implementation to a non-technical audience

Work you'll do

+ Design, develop, implement and support financial planning and reporting solutions using Oracle EPBCS as well as providing technical and functional guidance, assistance and support to client staff using this product and service

+ Provide technical solutions and support for Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (Oracle EPBCS) products and services

+ Perform unit, system and interface testing associated with the Oracle EPBCS product and corresponding system interface areas, as well as provide guidance and assistance to client staff to support these testing activities

+ Develop associated technical and functional Oracle EPCBS documentation including but not limited to requirements, design, code testing and end user documents, etc.

+ Attend and participate in requisite project and operational meetings and work sessions and provide timely updates on work performed to client peers, management and the client Oracle EPBCS customer community

Qualifications

Required:

+ Bachelor's degree required

+ Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

+ Ability to travel 5-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

+ 4+ years of experience with Oracle EPBCS Planning & Budgeting

+ 4+ years of experience with Oracle EPRCS, EPM Reporting, Financial Reporting (FR)

+ Experience in designing and developing the reports, charts, and dashboards using Oracle EPRCS

+ Experience with full end-to-end Oracle EPM reporting implementation

Preferred:

+ Sound knowledge of EPBCS experience with Out of box configuration, design, and testing of custom objects

+ Hands on experience on Data Management & EPM Automate knowledge

+ Able to gather and document client requirements independently

+ Knowledge and experience developing text-based narrative reports, doclets, packages and budget books using Oracle EPRCS

+ Ability to facilitate the development, modification in adherence to a system wide reporting strategy

+ Budgeting & finance background to understand reporting requirements and government budget book reports

+ Ability to maintain organization, work independently, and actively manage a team to a specific deliverable timeline

+ General understanding of agile methodologies

+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

+ General understanding of Oracle Cloud ERP
