Qualifications Minimum Education: * Completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent preparation and/or experience required. * High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent preferred. Minimum Experience: * 1 year of prior acute care experience preferred or CNA or completion of first clinical course in RN/LPN program. * Completion of the Garnet Health Nursing Education program required if no experience. Required Certification/Registration: * CNA certificate preferred if experience is minimal. * BLS certification current and ongoing. * Internal Crisis Intervention training required. Physical Requirements: * Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking. * Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patient. * Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching. * Ability to pass pre-hire physical assessment. Assists with maintaining the general cleanliness and appearance of areas on the unit, including, but not limited to: Cleans treatment rooms, showers, commodes and IV poles after use. Cleans kitchens (refrigerators, ice machines, sinks, counters) as assigned. Cleans counters and empties trash in nursing station as requested. Cleans other areas such as storage areas, linen rooms, staff lounge as requested. Cleans, restocks and maintains patient care supplies. Maintain and Model REACH Values (Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Compassion, Honor). Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance. Performs other duties as required.
