Local Team Collaboration:
Join our close-knit group of 12 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers (APPs) at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo.
Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are supportive and collaborative with other staff and departments.
We have a great relationship with our medical staff office; they are very efficient and helpful during the privileging process. We have multiple committees that our providers can lead or join.
Qualifications:
Board-certified or board-eligible nursepractitioner.
Hospitalist experience is preferred; hospitalist training is required.
Practice in the Hearth of the Community
Flexible Scheduling:
Flexible scheduling is available. Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.
Shifts for the day position is scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM; the night schedule is 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Most of us like to spend time with our families or outdoors, so a flexible schedule is available, and we cover for each other when we're out. We all have a common goal and help each other by switching shifts if someone needs a day off on their scheduled work week.
Key Responsibilities:
As a day clinician, your responsibility will encompass rounding on approximately fourteen patients per shift and discharging when appropriate, while our night clinician will perform three admissions in addition to cross coverage.
The hospital has a closed ICU with intensivists on hand 24/7. So, procedures or codes are not required.
We are entertaining candidates looking for full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts.
We use EPIC EMR and have access to our internal informatics platform.
