The compensation range for the role is $49.98-$56.94 hourly.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Graduate of a certified, accredited Radiology Program
Minimum Experience:
Three years of Radiologic Technology experience preferred. Six months Interventional Radiology experience required
Required Certification/Registration:
Current New York state Radiologic Technology license required. Registered with ARRT required. Interventional Radiology Registry desirable. Must be certified to inject Contrast by the New York State Department of Health within 3 months. Current BLS required.
Physical Requirement:
Work involves mostly standing and walking. Assists patients on and off exam table. Pushes and moves equipment within the Interventional Radiology Suite weighing in excess of 100 lbs less than 50 percent of the time. Wears a lead apron of approximately 20 lbs, for extended periods of time.

* Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works in a clean, well-lighted, heated or ventilated facility. No routine exposure to hazards.
* For Remote and Hybrid Remote positions: If deemed operationally necessary, position may be required to report in and work on-site.

Responsibilities
The Radiographer/CT Technologist, under the direct supervision of the Medical Director of Radiology and Administrative Director of Radiology, are responsible for providing high quality images for interpretation by the radiologist to aid in patient diagnosis. To provide all services necessary within the organization and Department of Radiology to insure proper patient care while obtaining requested radiographic examinations.

Minimum Education: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology Program. Bachelors' degree preferred. (New Graduates must have a letter from the radiology program stating they meet graduation requirements and provide diploma within 3 months of hire if diploma is not available at time of hire).
Minimum Experience: Six months CT scan experience preferred or completion of CT training program inclusive of didactic and clinical rotation or commitment to complete the Garnet Health CT Scan training program.

* New York State Radiologic Technologist License required
* ARRT (R) required
* ARRT (CT) - Certification required within 12 months of hire
* BLS required within 30 days from date of hire

* New CT scan Technologist hired into the Garnet Health CT Scan Training Program:
* ARRT (R) required (New Graduates must obtain the ARRT (R) registry within 3 months from date of hire)

Physical Requirements: Position requires lifting (50-75lbs.), transferring and assisting patients. Requires occasional lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Assists physicians and performs quality imaging through the use of fixed and mobile equipment throughout the hospital.

*Position Duties:*
·Performs exams following modality specific protocols resulting in high quality images using appropriate imaging techniques.
·Demonstrates working knowledge of any and all modality specific ancillary equipment such as laser camera, fluoroscopic equipment, contrast injectors, QC phantoms, Gus cleaning units, CR readers PAC's/RIS workstations, CAD workstations, dose calibrators, and flood sources.
·Appropriate storage, handling and administration of modality specific contrast agents including barium, iodinated oral contrast, and intravenous contrast agents.
·Maintains documentation and ensures accuracy of all pertinent patient and procedural data such as patient history, exam title, patient demographics, laterality markers, and modality specific questionnaires and screening tools.
·Prepares patient for procedure: providing instructions to obtain desired results. Gain cooperation and minimize anxiety as per patient education standards.
·Applies safety principles to minimize risks to patient, self, and others. Following establish standards such as Alara, Image Gently, and MRI safety.
·Conducts ongoing patient assessment including monitoring of the patient's condition and assuming the responsibility for provision of physical or psychological needs during procedures ensuring patient safety. Provides pre and post procedure patient education.

5. Positions patient ensuring patient comfort and modesty. Selects proper imaging protocol reflective of imaging order, maintains a high degree of accuracy in positioning and adjusts exposure techniques to obtain optimal CT images.
6. Operates power injectors in preparation for and administration of contrast media under the direct supervision of the supervising physician in accordance with department policy and regulatory standards.
7. Demonstrate knowledge of and practices radiation safety.
8. Is proficient in the operation of post processing workstations. Performs critique of exam for completeness and correct labeling. Is responsible for accurate and timely exam verification within the hospital's RIS system and archival of completed studies to the PACS system.
9. Follows infection control and safety guidelines, cleans and disinfects scanner and exam rooms. Properly stocks assigned room prior to the start and end of shift.
