The day-to-day
Your contribution to accounts payable team will be integral to help us make sure vendors invoices that have been received are completely entered in the system by the end of the month and making sure our vendors get paid on time. You will work closely with the fellow Accounts Payable Specialist, other teammates, and as well as the accounting manager in our Finance team.
Processing of monthly invoices from vendors making sure invoices are processed timely and paid by the due dates.
Receive vendor invoices, send the invoices to appropriate approvers including program managers and others.
Working with Procurement to resolve any issues related to invoices and purchase orders
Process employee expense reports and ensure that employees are following our policy, and the expenses are properly categorized.
Processing of monthly intercompany invoices, making sure the charges are coded appropriately, and necessary approvals of the invoices are obtained
Assist with entering of voucher for monthly corporate credit card activities
Assist with the preliminary and year end audit by providing support for the audit samples to the auditors.

Primary purpose of the position:
The SPOC Engineer is responsible for the Secure Payload Operations Center and daily operations of the payloads and associated ground stations. The SPOC Engineer is responsible for managing all SPOC activities performed during the operating shift environment. The Inmarsat Government SPOC is a highly automated environment, and the emphasis of the SPOC Payload Controller function is based on supervision of executing automated procedures rather than in their manual execution. However, comprehension and understanding of what each script is executing for both space and ground components is still critical. This position requires the staff member to perform regular satellite operations and to respond quickly at any time of the day or night to operational anomalies arising in the payload or ground control system. The SPOC Engineer is expected to exercise all operations in a professional and disciplined manner, executing routine procedures to the letter. The SPOC Engineer is expected to execute their day-to-day responsibilities from the Reston HQ, as well as provide rotating on-call support in addition to shift coverage.

To coordinate with the Network Operations Center (NOC) on all matters affecting the payload of the satellites, together with areas of the GCS which are of mutual utilization.
To liaise with members of SPOC Operations management, Spacecraft Analysis, or Flight Dynamics in all relevant matters, including real-time and off-line activities and tasks.
