Orbitel company history timeline

1998

In 1998, a group of investors (led by Santo Domingo and Sarmiento Angulo) joined EPM to incorporate Orbitel, company born to provide long-distance telecommunications services inside Colombia and worldwide.

2002

Since 2002 Adam has nurtured the growth and development of Crescent I.T., which has now merged with Orbitel.

2006

In 2006, Orbitel bids and wins the right to a governmental license to operate the promising WiMAX technology, starting to provide its service that same year in the city of Cali.

2007

The following year, the 1st of August 2007, EPM Telecomunicaciones, Orbitel and Emelco's telecommunications business merge into a single company under the umbrella of the brand UNE.

2021

Our helpful Support Engineer, Marcus, joined Orbitel in January 2021.

2022

He joined us in May 2022 in search of working within a company with a great culture and new challenges.
