The Maintenance Electrical Specialist's primary responsibility is to maintain, upgrade, and repair existing electrical systems and equipment such as motors, transformers, generators, and electronic controllers on machine tools and industrial robots. The incumbent shall achieve these objectives by performing the following duties and responsibilities **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following: + Installs electrical equipment: sizing conduit, sizing conductors, installing/bending conduit, wire pulling, panel and field terminating, control panel building, and tying in to plant power. + Installs electrical systems ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC. + Repairs complex electrical equipment, including automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems, drives, and alarms. + Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, detects and replaces defective components. + Provides technical assistance to lower-level Maintenance Associates. + Operates electrical hand tools and measuring devices. + Works from blueprints, drawings, sketches or schematics. + Working knowledge of techniques, materials, tools and equipment used. + Working knowledge of programmable controllers, and related programming software. + Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment and performs routine, scheduled designated preventive maintenance. + Discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose equipment problems. + Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. + Additional duties as requested by management. **QUALIFICATIONS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be professional, proactive and positive, with internal and external customers and coworkers. Education and/or Experience Associates degree from a college or technical school in Electrical; two plus years related experience in an industrial setting and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Job Description We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Junior Electrician to support electrical maintenance and infrastructure operations at the Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC), located at Redstone Arsenal. This position will work alongside a certified Journeyman Electrician to perform installation, modification, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and facility equipment. The Junior Electrician will assist in executing facility upgrades, maintaining power systems, and ensuring compliance with federal safety standards. This is a full-time, on-site position. YOU MUST HAVE Electricians with Journeymans card, or 7+ years of direct electrician experience.
