As a Secondary Machine Operator you will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of drilling and sawing machinery. Work is performed in accordance with the instructions provided by the department supervisor or manager (or other designated individual). The employee is expected to carry out the assignments, free of direct supervision, except for more complicated jobs. Shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday - Friday What you will do as a Secondary Machine Operator * Setup and safely operate single spindle, multiple spindle, radial-armed drills, and cut-off saws. * Lay out and perform drilling, tapping, reaming and sawing functions per blueprint specifications. * Read and interpret STERIS blueprints, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) including travelers, and other working documents. * Maintain equipment by ensuring the proper coolant concentration and oil levels are present, including adding coolants and oils when necessary. * Apply cutting and tapping fluids to materials and cutting tools to reduce heat and assist with chip removal. * Use required measuring instruments and gages to check and ensure parts meet dimensional requirements. * Complete all projects, assignments, and duties as directed and instructed by the area supervisor. * Take responsibility for the quality of all parts by inspecting and immediately reporting any problems, discrepancies or irregularities to the supervisor. * Follow 5S methodology to keep machines and work area clean, neat and orderly on a daily basis. * Remain safety conscious at all times, wearing all prescribed personal protective equipment and by observing all safety rules stated in the Employee Handbook. * Conform to all policies, procedures and rules of conduct as communicated through the Employee Handbook. * Ability to perform duties with minimal or no supervision if needed. * Exhibit teamwork by working cohesively with co-workers to continuously improve. The Experience, Skills and Abilities Required: * Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. * Must be able to use precision measuring instruments and gages. * Must be capable of lifting 40 pounds without assistance. Other: * Knowledge, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as, 5S, Kanban Inventory, Visual Management, Waste elimination, and Root Cause Problem Solving are preferred. * Ability to make decisions and stay quality focused. * Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and members of the leadership team. * Assist with training other operators. * Ability to understand and follow work instructions, both written and oral. * Ability to adapt to conditions as dictated by business requirements. * Ability to work with others. * Willingness to work overtime, if required. At Applied Intuition, you will: Manage end-to-end backend operations, ensuring our offices and facilities are efficient, welcoming, and conducive to productivity Lead the day-to-day maintenance of offices, including managing janitorial, handyman services, and coordinating with building engineers, property managers, and landlords Manage external vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery, holding them accountable while optimizing costs and performance Own inventory and ensure all office spaces are fully stocked with necessary supplies and equipment Execute in-office event setups and breakdown, including customer visits, company-wide meetings, and team events Work closely with Workplace Frontend and IT to ensure smooth, day-to-day operations Help execute regular office moves, desk changes, and seating arrangements to accommodate growth Organize workspace needs for our vehicle teams, including working with shop managers to ensure our garages and related facilities are up to standard Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) that allow us to scale operations efficiently at HQ and templates we'll use in global locations Lead workplace-related projects, handle requests, and manage ticketing to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement Play a pivotal role in setting up operational standards and practices as we expand our headquarters Travel at least four weeks out of the year to train other sites Need to be able to lift at least 20+ pounds of materials regularly We're looking for someone who has: 7+ years in facility management, with expertise in janitorial services, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems The ability to physically address maintenance tasks, organize spaces, and ensure operational efficiency Experience managing facilities of 100,000+ sq ft and overseeing complex, multi-building operations Experience being a self-starter who takes ownership of tasks, follows through to completion, and proactively seeks help and feedback to improve outcomes A strong focus on cleanliness, organization, and operational precision-even down to the smallest details like dust and misplaced cables Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-moving environment A proven track record of managing third-party vendors and ensuring accountability, cost-efficiency, and service quality Experience working across teams (engineering, IT, operations) and managing complex problems with multiple stakeholders. The Power Plant Operator II is responsible for the safe and proper operation of the power plant and associated control structures. Responsibilities Power Plant Maintenance and Repair - 60% * Monitor power plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems. * Adjust controls to generate specified electrical power or to regulate the flow of power between generating stations and substations. * Control power generating equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators, or reactors, using control boards or semi-automatic equipment. * Regulate equipment operations and conditions, such as water levels, based on instrument data or from computers. * Make adjustmentsor minor repairs, such as tightening leaking gland and pipe joints. * Record and compile operational data by completing and maintaining forms, logs, or reports. * Receive outage calls and call in necessary personnel during power outages and emergencies. * Prepares equipment malfunction reports, makes inspections and from observation, determines whether equipment is operating properly. * Take regulatory action, based on readings from charts, meters and gauges, at established intervals. * Start or stop generators, auxiliary pumping equipment, turbines, or other power plant equipment as necessary. * Inspect, trouble-shoot, and repair generators, auxiliary pumping equipment, turbines, or other power plant equipment as necessary. * Inspect records or log book entries or communicate with plant personnel to assess equipment operating status. * Control or maintain auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, fans, compressors, condensers, feed water heaters, filters, or chlorinators, to supply water, fuel, lubricants, air, or auxiliary power. * May maintain the pneumatic tube system for the facility including performing preventive maintenance.
