A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Machine Operator, Coating Robot, TPS is responsible for performing and maintaining basic programs and changing off-sets on a CNC style coating Robot as well as ABB (VPS). The Machine Operator, Coating Robot, TPS reports to the Production Supervisor.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Machinist, CNC reports directly to the area Supervisor.
Performs basic machining functions to produce parts.
Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community.
Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Completes all required training.
Reads and understands customer specifications based on customer blueprints, Customer Requirement Sheets (CRS), and/or other written documentation; seeks clarification when needed.
Preps and fixtures orthopedic implants, placing fixtures in machine, programming and operating machine.
Performs general maintenance on equipment including filling hoppers with mesh, changing powder lots, and repairing fixtures.
Confirms customer specifications are met by reviewing and signing off on CRS (“Customer Requirement Sheet”).
Ensures measurement equipment and other hand tools, such as calipers and micrometers, are maintained in good working order, replacing or requesting repair as needed.
Records data on specified forms, both manual and computerized, when needed.
Ensures defects or errors are immediately highlighted for supervisor review.
Updates and improves job knowledge by participating in educational and training opportunities, Kaizen events, and other team-based opportunities.
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complies with legal regulations.
Responsible for following 5S practices in work area, performing general cleaning including sweeping, mopping and trash removal.
Responsible for accurately clocking in/out for the day and on/off jobs throughout the day using internal computer software system.
Performs other related duties and tasks as required.
Lead quality and compliance by utilizing One Orchid global processes and complying with all Quality Management Systems (QMS) documentation requirements and establishing/supporting plan(s) to meet/exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Quality that support Safety, Compliance, Six Sigma Quality, On-Time Delivery (OTD) and financial objectives.

Ensuring all tasks and responsibilities are performed according to industry-leading scientific standards & accurately documented in SOPs.

Responsibilities
Review and understand all job ticket information
Complete equipment standard set up and adjustments as needed
Cut product to final size/shape by operating finishing equipment
Monitor output quality, including data collection for job tracking, and report issues as appropriate.
Meet productivity and quality standards by completing work in a timely and accurate manner.
Perform basic preventative maintenance to finishing equipment
Contribute to safety goals by maintaining a clean, clutter-free workplace, report potentially unsafe conditions and ensure that the department meets and exceeds safety requirements
May need to move material via material handling equipment (may entail use of forklift/pallet jacks)
Work overtime as needed

Qualifications Mandatory Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), four plus years of relevant industry experience or 520 hours as an Imagine temporary employee along with manager's approval to hire full-time
Ability to communicate/understand written and oral instructions
Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish color
Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up
Basic computer skills
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Production and Quality Control departments to ensure accurate batching and record keeping
Operate forklift, trucks, front end loader, crane-ways as well as batching equipment to mix concrete
Work with Maintenance department in doing daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventative maintenance
Order materials needed for the Batch Plant
Work with outside vendors in scheduling delivery of aggregates, dyes, and admixtures
Be accountable for recording and carrying out accurately all safety procedures and policies
Ability to continuously improve the batching process
Be able to take the initiative to continuously push the batch plant to produce the highest level possible and troubleshoot when issues arise
Batch concrete when needed for each job
Ability to use math to calculate mix designs, aggregate totals, and other possible calculations needed
Clean mixer area daily
Clean and inspect strand vices

High School Diploma or GED

About the role
In the Workplace Operations, Backend role, you will own facility engineering - from maintenance to office setups and inventory - ensuring that every part of our physical workspace supports our growing team. You will partner closely with the frontend role to have a seamless experience and will need to be confident in leading various vendors that handle: janitorial, handy persons, moving, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys taking projects zero to one, building a team from the ground up, and working in a fast-paced environment.
At Applied Intuition, you will:
* Manage end-to-end backend operations, ensuring our offices and facilities are efficient, welcoming, and conducive to productivity
* Lead the day-to-day maintenance of offices, including managing janitorial, handyman services, and coordinating with building engineers, property managers, and landlords
* Manage external vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery, holding them accountable while optimizing costs and performance
* Own inventory and ensure all office spaces are fully stocked with necessary supplies and equipment
* Execute in-office event setups and breakdown, including customer visits, company-wide meetings, and team events
* Work closely with Workplace Frontend and IT to ensure smooth, day-to-day operations
* Help execute regular office moves, desk changes, and seating arrangements to accommodate growth
* Organize workspace needs for our vehicle teams, including working with shop managers to ensure our garages and related facilities are up to standard
* Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) that allow us to scale operations efficiently at HQ and templates we'll use in global locations
* Lead workplace-related projects, handle requests, and manage ticketing to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement

We're looking for someone who has:
* 7+ years in facility management, with expertise in janitorial services, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

* Experience managing facilities of 100,000+ sq ft and overseeing complex, multi-building operations
* Experience being a self-starter who takes ownership of tasks, follows through to completion, and proactively seeks help and feedback to improve outcomes
* A strong focus on cleanliness, organization, and operational precision-even down to the smallest details like dust and misplaced cables
* Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-moving environment
* A proven track record of managing third-party vendors and ensuring accountability, cost-efficiency, and service quality
* Experience working across teams (engineering, IT, operations) and managing complex problems with multiple stakeholders. Ability to solve issues and communicate effectively
* Experience creating scalable processes and automating workflows to improve efficiency and consistency
* The ability to creatively find sustainable and efficient ways to save money, identify cheaper alternatives and out of the box thinking to all tasks

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $120,000 - $180,000 USD annually.
