Order builders typically work in warehouses and are responsible for successful order fulfillment by building orders as directed and repackaging products. Being dependable and knowing how to follow orders precisely are the necessary traits for succeeding in this job. Your key duty will be to ensure that your customers receive correct orders in a timely manner.
Some of the other tasks you can expect to perform include handling equipment to move products and materials in an efficient and safe manner, following all policies and procedures relating to product age and quality, and completing appropriate warehouse paperwork. You may also be asked to prepare products for loading onto trucks for delivery.
To become an order builder, you'll need to have good stamina and may be required to do some heavy lifting. Forklift operation may also be required by some employers.
