Records information as directed to track the above activities. Performs tasks in a manner consistent with the zero errors policy of the company. Maintains performance at or above productivity standards and service level targets established by the company. Operates within applicable safety guidelines as per government regulations, the company's safety manuals and/or stated safety policies, and common sense. Performs inspection of material handling equipment and maintains fluid levels to ensure continues optimal operation. Performs work in a manner so as to prevent damage to company equipment, facilities and products. Insures proper warehouse cleanliness is maintained at all times. Follows up on ALL customer request and questions to ensure appropriate response is made and customer is satisfied. Full-time, Part-time Description Primary Purpose and Mission Statement: Rock Creek IGA and its employees pledge to put customers first by: Greeting customers with a friendly smile. Providing quick, accurate, and courteous service. Supplying a variety of products that meet high quantity, quality, and freshness standards. Thanking customers for making us their hometown store. Essential Duties: Perform general stocking duties daily including storing and stocking products in/on bins, pallets, shelves, racks, and refrigerators. Move, handle, and transport finished products, material, or supplies to other departments by utilizing hand jacks, lift carts, and other means of transportation. Load, unload, and move heavy, bulky products. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards (including backroom and shelves) and dispose of trash. Help and assist customers in finding merchandise and providing them with information, sales, promotions, etc. Perform other duties as assigned. Follow safety policies and procedures and encourage colleagues to do the same. Requirements Qualifications: Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to handle several tasks at once. Friendly/Approachable. Must be able to work 100% of the time moving about in the work area. Ability to maintain a professional appearance. Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. throughout any assigned shift unassisted. Ability to push/pull a loaded Grocery cart throughout any assigned shift unassisted. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to climb and balance on a step stool/ladder. Ability to stoop, kneel and crouch. Ability to sustain repetitive arm and hand motion. Ability to reach above shoulders and horizontally to stock and retrieve inventory. Work Environment: Ability to work under a variety of conditions and temperatures, wet and dry, for extended periods of time.
