The Stock Associate is responsible for receiving, unpacking, and preparing merchandise for the selling floor. They are also responsible for the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the stock room. A Floor/Stocker ensures all goods are stored and organized properly with prices marked on them, maintaining inventory to confirm no product/s have run out, and coordinating and managing the disposal of trash. Job Duties & Responsibilities Maintain a clean and neat store appearance for our customers. Sort and stock products on shelves and in the backroom throughout the day. Itemize and total customer merchandise selection at checkout counter, using cash register, and accept cash or charge card for purchases. Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished. Pack customer purchases in bags or cartons. Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise. Requisition merchandise from supplier based on available space, merchandise on hand, customer demand, or advertised specials. Transport packages to customers' vehicles. Stamp, attach, or change price tags on merchandise, referring to price list. Receive, open, unpack and issue sales floor merchandise. Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles. The Stock Associate is responsible for receiving, unpacking, and preparing merchandise for the selling floor. They are also responsible for the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the stock room. Reports To: Store Management Essential Functions Customer Experience * First Impressions: Create a positive first impression by adhering to the dress code. * Store Standards: Create a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness both in the stock room and on the selling floor.
