SUMMARY: In assigned area of warehouse, sweep, mop, pick up trash and empty trash containers and general cleaning responsibility to insure the sanitation requirements for the facility are properly met. Travel throughout the facility either by foot or riding an electric operated pallet jack or tugger unit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The individual must have the ability to perform the responsibilities listed below. The list is not all inclusive of duties that may be requested by the department head or a member of upper management but are intended for an understanding of the purpose of the position. It is the responsibility of each individual at AWG to provide ultimate customer service to our members to support their efforts in increasing same store sales and profits.
Sweep floor areas with broom by hand and pick up any broken boards, plastic, tape or any other trash. This includes sweeping out empty slot locations as well as moving pallets of product with pallet jack to sweep out area.
Mop floor with water and or various cleaning solutions to maintain floor and to clean up any liquid spills that may have occurred.
Pick up by hand any damaged cases by hand and transport them to the damage/recoup area and/or pick up cases off floor and place them in their respective location.
Empty trash bin locations by hand and transporting bags to dumpster.
Empty plastic recyclable bins and transport plastic to recyclable area.
Use gas operated blower unit to blow out dust and trash from various locations within the warehouse.
Use gas operated pressure washer unit to clean floors and other areas as assigned.
May have duties outside of the warehouse facility to sweep or clean outside dock areas from trash and/or empty trash containers by hand.
