The impact you'll make:
Read release form thoroughly before starting order, identify rush orders, special request orders, and prioritize accordingly.
Accurately and efficiently select merchandise from storage locations to fulfill customer orders. Verify product details, quantities, and quality before packing to ensure customer satisfaction.
Understand the warehouse layout to easily navigate to the correct aisle and storage racks to retrieve items efficiently, ensuring accuracy and completeness of each order
Pack merchandise securely and appropriately for shipping, using packaging materials such as boxes, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts. Report instructions to the UPS shipper or office thoroughly.
Assist in conducting regular cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate inventory levels. Maintain records accurately
Use warehouse equipment and machinery, including picking devices and packing stations. Operate equipment safely and maintain a clean and organized work area. Build pallets in a cost efficient manner .
Interact with team members, supervisors, and delivery personnel throughout the shift in a professional manner.
Who you are:
Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field of study
Additional Experience Desired: Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse distribution
Additional Experience Desired: Minimum 1 year of experience in handling forklifts, pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment
Computer Skills Desired: Minimal Computer Skills
Preferred Certifications: Forklift Certification preferred
Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Experience in voice picking systems or radio frequency devices a plus

Job Description
Schedule: 6pm start time. Shifts are typically 8-10 hours long. Must be available Friday and Sundays, Saturdays off with an additional day off during the week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:
You will be part of a team of people that work together in an environment that is friendly, yet productive.
This role is for picking full case produce orders onto a pallet utilizing a “hands free” voice pick headset system while operating a riding pallet jack. These orders are picked with product integrity in mind and are wrapped and staged upon completion for delivery to the customer. We strive to maintain a safe warehouse environment while specializing in building organized orders with attention to quality and accuracy while meeting all food safety programs. This is a steady paced position that requires a standard of a certain pieces per hour which is easily within reach for candidates that are hired on.
Qualifications
Here are a few things to be ready for (and don't forget we will train and certify you):
Pick orders via headset using a voice pick system with attention to accuracy - each user trains to their unique voice and this is an easy process to learn
Organize the orders on pallets as you pick with integrity to the product (i.e. organic - fragile - etc.)
Operate equipment - riding pallet jack which we take the time to be sure everyone is safe to operate
Follow food safety quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
Ability to work in a refrigerated environment, 35-56 degrees
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, frequently
Ability to work without direct supervision and to prioritize activities
Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position is a critical support role for the Warehouse Team. The Order Selector will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting orders in a timely manner.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Efficiently and accurately pick customer orders.
Safely operate electric pallet jack in a face-paced warehouse environment.
Select and palletize products using Vocollect technology.
Adhere to health and safety policies and quality standards.
Other duties and special projects as requested.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Work in various warehouse environments including freezer, cooler and dry.
Able to follow selection direction through headset (Voice Pick & Pick Label)
Work overtime as required.
Work on your feet for 8-12 hours daily.
Ability to frequently lift 15-55 pounds.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience working in a warehouse environment.

The Superior Grocers Warehouse Order Selectors are responsible for accurately selecting orders and staging for store delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Selects orders as directed through our voice selection system or by our paper selection process.
Delivers orders once selected to the proper loading dock door assigned.
Confirms that store number selected is the same as being loaded into the trailer in the dock door assigned.
If selected pallet is full, the order selector will load it directly into the trailer, if not the pallet staged on the dock.
Selector is responsible for taking all breaks and lunches as directed to do so and consistent with proper timekeeping requirements.
Follow directions as given by our voice selection system and providing responses clearly and accurately back to the system.
Select and stack cases/product in a manner which will allow for it to travel safely to our stores.
Select and stack repeatedly throughout the shift cases/product up to 50lbs using proper lifting techniques.
Selection is done on either an electric pallet jack or a forklift depending on the department and type of selection being done. Selectors will be trained and must pass their training to be certified on the equipment they will be using.
