What you'll be doing:
As a warehouse associate you may work in one of the following six areas:
Warehouse Bulk/Material Handling Equipment Operator: You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick product up to 100 lbs and move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.
Warehouse Porter: You will be responsible for general cleaning and basic maintenance duties both inside and outside of the facility while adhering to safety procedures. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.
Warehouse Replenishment: You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick product up to 100 lbs and move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.
Warehouse Receiving/Putaway/Returns: You will confirm accuracy of product and work with colleagues to address discrepancies and damages. You will communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts to clarify and resolve issues. You will be manually unloading trucks and palletizing products. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.
Warehouse Returns: You will be operating material handling equipment to move product within the warehouse. You will be matching item quantities and descriptions to packing slips on returned items, checking in returned product and tagging it appropriate. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.
Shipping: You'll be responsible for organizing, stacking, and shrink-wrapping customer orders on pallets. You'll be loading trucks manually; lifting, lowering, and carrying product in a fast-paced environment and stacking empty pallets while maintaining a safe and clean workspace as you go.
Please note, as an SC2 associate you may be moved into any of the above roles, or SC1 roles, as needed.
You will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers.

If you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need.
Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
An ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand.
Must wear safety composite shoes.
Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.

Physical labor involved in this activity varies but can involve pushing/pulling of stacked milk cases up to 6 high (up to 220 lbs), pushing/pulling of milk cases on metal-framed, rolling delivery dollies (up to 700 lbs) in addition to using powered equipment.
Accurately identifying, selecting/picking inventory for loading, and staging based on customer load sheets. This process may involve "picking" corrugated and un-corrugated products (up to 50 lbs) from warehouse storage shelves, pushing/pulling of cases of products up to 6 cases high (up to 220 lbs) and other packaged and un-packaged products. Process also includes placing products on rolling, metal product delivery racks 5 ½ feet high and moving the rack throughout the warehouse. Weights for each load will vary and load will progressively increase as the rack is filled. Final loaded weight of the rack could be up to 1000 lbs.
Pull empty and full milk cases stacked up to 6 high (up to 220 lbs) with repetition while performing functions associated with "pulling stock" in the dolly area or storage chest.
Manually remove products from the floor conveyor system, then package and/or stage in an efficient manner to maintain production flow requirements.
Safely operate various types of powered industrial trucks (PITs) to load and unload pallets of product from a trailer and/or transport throughout the Warehouse. Types of PITs used include forklifts, squeeze trucks, pallet jacks, and HI/LO forklift units.
Other duties to be performed as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Position Summary:
Select cases and other containers of food and non-foods products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems. Items are placed on pallets and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric pallet jack/forklift, wrapped, labeled and readied for shipment in a timely manner observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities:
Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
Review work schedule, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations. Perform a safety check on pallet jack/forklift to be used and insure that all other safety devices are functioning properly. Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets.
Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required. Use single and/or double pallets as directed.
Transport completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area. May be required to shrink-wrap pallet for staging.
Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, or attach re-charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Perform various duties to receive palletized cartons of soles and heels from Finishing department, enter data into computer, print and apply labels, store stock items and stage customers' orders for shipment following standard established methods and procedures.

1. Receive pallets of cartons, identify by item code number and store or stage in appropriate location. Enter item code number and size into computer terminal for outstanding order display on JDE. Select order to be filled by due date and enter data into computer to produce required gummed labels. Separate, apply labels to cartons and segregate cartons to various customers' orders and ship dates or for stock.
2. Operate BT's or forklift to move pallets of cartons within the department. Operate shrink wrap machine to automatically wrap full skids in preparation for shipping.
3. Store inventory items on racks in appropriate locations and pull from racks as orders are received. Respond to handwritten notes to override computerized orders or information. Check to confirm counts of cartons on all skids prior to shipment.
4. Observe and report any equipment malfunction, questionable computer data, material or other problems to the supervisor. Observe all safety rules, regulations and practices. Employ all safety equipment and devices. Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
5. Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement of the job.

You will contribute by:
* Picking various items by using order sheets or an audio headset
* Stacking items on a pallet for wrapping and loading at the bay doors
* Ensuring accuracy to orders while adhering to our safety standards
* Operating a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases of products from storage rack & place on pallet and apply selection labels to appropriate cases (not in all cases)
* Utilizing proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages
* Informing Supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description
* Performing equipment inspections & completion of appropriate form
* Frequent safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
* Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

* Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
* Walking between 6-12 miles per day on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
* Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
* Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
* Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
* Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Order Picker to join our team in a warehouse setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical pallet jacks, and the ability to manage inventory using SAP or a similar system. This role involves handling construction materials, which can be heavy, requiring candidates to lift up to 50 pounds.
**Responsibilities**
+ Select orders based on client needs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
+ Move inventory from racks to trucks and back using a ride-along pallet jack.
+ Track inventory using SAP or a similar ERP system.
+ Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
+ Collaborate with forklift operators to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
**Essential Skills**
