Observes safety and security procedures, such as, performing daily safety checklist for electric pallet jacks prior to use, checking manual pallet jacks and pallets and tagging any with defects, using proper lifting technique. Pulls pallet through warehouse, selects items from floor stock to assemble orders. Checks each pull to ensure correct item and quantity are pulled and that all items are in good condition. Enlists forklift driver to drop full pallets from steel shelves for large quantity item orders. Spots for forklift drivers to keep people out of fall-danger zone. Ensures that forklift is always traveling at a safe speed to ensure the safety of customers and other employees. When using the electric pallet jack, always follows the company's safety standards.
