The Typical Duties of This Job Are as Follows:
• Visually examines bottles to ensure proper specifications. (This job is performed sitting down at a light station).
• Any defective ware is dropped down a cullet chute at the visual light station.

As Ohio's premiere specialty beverage distributor, we are seeking an aggressive, passionate, self-starting individual, who has what it takes to join our team as a part-time Keg Cooler Order Picker working two shifts per week. This part-time position is Monday through Thursday with a start time of 6:30 pm and shifts usually ending around 11:00 p.m. (end time varies).

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for selecting the correct beverage keg products from the warehouse cooler before staging them for delivery.
Principle Responsibilities:
Utilize computerized WMS (Warehouse Management System) and RF scanners.
Stacks pallets of product in designated areas in the warehouse. Puts keg stock in cooler (with forklift).
Rotates stock and checks for pull dates.
Counts and verifies outgoing keg or case loads against load sheets. Stage pallets for loading.
Check quality of products throughout the picking process and report poor quality items to management.
Stack, wrap, and label pallets correctly for each customer to ensure proper routing.
Maintain cleanliness of warehouse.
Operate a pallet jack and two wheeler
Maintain adherence to all Cavalier Company policies and procedures
Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic understanding of Cavalier Distributing products.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisor.
Ability to add and subtract, using whole numbers and decimals.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to process information/merchandise.
Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.

Must be able to lift/move Kegs, which averages 170 pounds and can weigh up to a maximum of 186 pounds; you must be physically capable of routinely handling at those weight levels.
Must be able to regularly unload product (case of beer), which averages to 30 lbs., but can weigh up to a maximum of 49 lbs.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly to stand; walk. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk to others.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to fill orders.
Work in temperatures, which range from 30 - 100 degrees.
Ability to bend and stoop.
