What you'll do as a Warehouse Selector:
* Select product and load trucks, moving product between the loading dock and the warehouse and moving product within the warehouse.

* McLane provides freezer suits, hats, and gloves to you.
* Review documents and record information; verify quantity, identity, availability, and condition of product.
* Drive and operate a reach truck and pallet jack to select, pull, sort, and stack product within the warehouse and dock.
* Hand-stack product on occasion when items are off balance or in the wrong location.
* Shrink-wrap and label outgoing orders and remove shrink wrap from incoming orders.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:
* At least 18 years of age.
* Able to perform accurate visual inspections and repeatedly lift to 50 pounds or more.

REPORT TO: Distribution Warehouse Supervisor
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
NOTE: Candidates must be available to work nights and weekends.
JOB OVERVIEW
Earp Distribution OrderSelector is responsible for the accurate selection of a customer's order in a safe and productive manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be able to use the tools and equipment generally associated with the job of an OrderSelector. This includes but is not limited to electronic voice and scanning order selection equipment, power jacks, label printers, power wrapping machines, wooden and plastic pallets.
Through past training or on-the-job experience, must be able to:
Accurately select orders by following standard work processes and procedures.
Practice proper safe lifting techniques in order to mitigate the potential for injury.
Able to safely operate power pallet jack and/or forklift.
Practice "Clean as You Go" sanitation.
Work with limited supervision.
Work with and around other employees with respect and cooperation.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conditions Affecting Working Environment: Employee will work under the following environmental conditions:
Must be able to work, stand and walk on a concrete or aluminum floor, sometimes slick with grease, moisture, or frost for the duration of the workday.
Work in areas that are not air-conditioned.
Work in refrigerated area. Cooler area temperatures ranging from 28 degrees to 38 degrees. Freezer area temperatures ranging from -5 degrees to 0 degrees.
Work safety with or near mechanical hazards, forklifts, power jacks, battery chargers, and shrink-wrapping machines.
Work safely with or near electrical hazards, battery charger and shrink wrap machine.
Requirements:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
1 plus year of experience in the field or in related area referred. Should be familiar with standard warehouse concepts, operations, and processes.
Able to read English and recognize numbers.
Familiarity with computers.
Ability to learn new voice activated selection systems.
