Responsible for accurately reading orders, picking products from warehouse location, and ensuring proper building of pallets of product for next day delivery.
Participate in the control of damage and minimization of product loss.
Responsible for the proper wrapping, blocking, and loading of assigned nightly routes.
Removal of all shrink wrap from picking pallets; Neatly stack all empty pallets.
Advocate for a positive workplace environment.
Participate in practical application of safety and maintenance polices as they apply to company operations.
Stay within Company set standards on minimum cases per hour picked with appropriate speed and accuracy.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination equivalent to the following education and experience that would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would qualify. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous warehouse experience a plus.
Previous experience with electric pallet jacks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
General understanding of warehouse logistics, material handling, or equivalent experience.
Ability to lift/carry/move 35 lbs. (maximum of 160 lbs.).
Ability to stand for extended periods of time (including bending, reaching, lifting, pulling, etc.).
Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, and scissor lift according to location needs.
Ability to become familiar with warehouse lay-out, product location set-up, and product rotation.
Demonstrates positive team dynamics and productive communication skills through work history.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, other governmental agencies, and the public as required.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work on own initiative and handle a wide range of tasks.
Understand and effectively communicate Summit Beverage's organizational mission and goals.
PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Working Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat wet and/or humid conditions while working outside of the warehouse, but on Summit campus. Employees are exposed to continual movement and vibration while using powered industrial equipment. The employee consistently works near moving mechanical equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $24.40 and $30.50/hour.
As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation, shift differential, and freezer premium.

Main Ingredients of the Job
Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area
Physical Requirements
Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required
What You Bring to the Table
Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Friday. 5 day work week. At times weekends and holidays will be required.
Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred
