The Order Selector fulfills customer orders by using pick tickets or an RF Scanner, efficiently building the pallet, and ensuring skids are brought to the correct locations/trucks.
The schedule is from 8:30 am - finish, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities
You will:
Review incoming material orders/'pick tickets'
Locate materials on shelves in the warehouse
Place materials on the order picker, forklift, or pallet jack
Deliver items to the loading area to be wrapped and put on a delivery truck
Qualifications
You have:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
1-year minimum of warehouse experience
1 year of high-volume order selecting
1 year of experience with ride-on electric pallet jack
Ability to lift 50+ pounds comfortably and unassisted

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years old, have neat appearance and be able to follow instructions. Must have experience with warehouse equipment. Must be able to operate and be certified to operate needed forklift and or pallet jack equipment to do the job.
PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES NEEDED: Must have the physical ability to read labels efficiently. Must have the physical ability to hear and follow instructions. Must have the physical ability to select product from storage. Must have the physical ability to lift approximately 75 lbs frequently during the shift and lift up to 72” high. Must have the physical ability to withstand extreme inside temperatures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Check all equipment used in pulling orders to make sure it is in proper condition.
When picking, special care should be taken to make sure that stickers are placed on all cases and product picked correctly.
Watch labels carefully for quantities, pack sizes and brands. All labels for out-of-stock merchandise must be turned in still attached to label sheets.
When pulling merchandise, handle it with care, stack product so as to avoid damage.
A safe and sanitary work environment should be maintained at all times during the selection shift.
All selected product should be staged at the proper dock door for loading.
When finished picking, make sure equipment is in the proper place and plugged up.
A clean-up of assigned areas of the warehouse is required at the end of the shift.

PWADC is seeking motivated, athletic and competitive candidates for the position of 2nd Shift Order Selector. Order Selectors work from 3:00pm until all orders have been shipped. The Selector pulls the requested cases by hand and stacks them on a pallet for transport. This position is in a union environment with established production standards which must be met weekly.
Shift: 2nd Shift, 3:00pm-Until Finished. Order Selectors will work weekends as part of their regular work schedule.
Pay Rate: 22:50
Requirements:
THIS IS AN EXTERMELY FAST PACED, PHYSICALLY DEMANDING JOB. HEAVY LIFTING UP TO 90 LBS IS REQUIRED.
Ability to work under a production quota system. Order Selectors must be able to pull an average of 185 cases per hour by the end of their 90 day probation period, and thereafter.
Probationary Order Selectors must show improvement each week in order to continue their 90 day probation period.
Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions is required. Temperatures in Perishables range from 0 degrees to -20 degrees.
There is an extremely strict attendance policy during the 90 day probation period. In the event of an emergency, you must see your manager and have supporting documentation.
Mandatory Overtime, Weekends and Holidays are required.
Background and Drug screen required at the time of hire.

Position Summary:
Select cases and other containers of food and non-foods products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems. Items are placed on pallets and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric pallet jack/forklift, wrapped, labeled, and readied for shipment in a timely manner observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities:
Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
Review work schedule, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations. Perform a safety check on pallet jack/forklift to be used and insure that all other safety devices are functioning properly. Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets.
Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required. Use single and/or double pallets as directed.
Transport completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area. May be required to shrink-wrap pallet for staging.
Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, or attach re-charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions is required. Temperatures in Perishables range from 0 degrees to -20 degrees.
There is an extremely strict attendance policy during the 90 day probation period. In the event of an emergency, you must see your manager and have supporting documentation.
