Function/Duties of Position
The Division of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, is seeking applications for a faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our faculty in 2026. We are seeking a clinical psychologist with specific training in clinical neuropsychology, to include:
Strong capabilities in providing clinical neuropsychological evaluations for adults - the applicant will provide evaluations for adult patients with a full range of reasons for referral.
Strong teaching experience - the applicant will provide instruction in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program (one of the few in the nation housed entirely within an academic medical center) and the Psychiatry Residency program.
Strong clinical supervision skills - the applicant will offer supervision of advanced clinical practicum for students in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program and/or clinical neuropsychology fellows.
Service on Departmental and University committees and research consultation as appropriate.
Bilingual/multilingual neuropsychologists are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
The applicant must have a PhD in Clinical Psychology and an Oregon Psychologist license (or be Oregon license eligible).
The applicant must have completed a 2-year fellowship that meets ABPP/ABCN criteria specific to Clinical Neuropsychology.

Key Responsibilities
30% Teaching
Teach in the therapeutic and pharmacy practice sequences for professional program students. This position is focused in psychiatry and mental health, but faculty are expected to teach throughout the PharmD program. Provide clinical instruction as a preceptor for clerkship students and at co-curricular activities.
40% Practice
Clinical service will be in the College's DURM group to 1) provide research, analysis and reporting on drug use patterns and trends; and 2) provide research, analysis, development, revision, and reporting of drug use educational programs and interventions, including provider profiling, academic detailing, and order change forms. This position will support and expand education and outreach efforts to Medicaid providers, with a focus on mental health medications.
15% Scholarship
Engage in peer reviewed scholarship. Seek external funding and disseminate scholarly work on an ongoing basis. Opportunities for collaborative research are available.
15% Service

This position is part of a multi-line, multi-year investment in clinical science research and teaching, in support of a successful, rapidly growing undergraduate major and Ph.D. program. Clinical Science training was added in Fall 2024 as an option to our existing Psychology PhD program. Our Clinical Science model centers on rigorous training in the science and practice of evidence-based interventions, reaching diverse populations who may lack access to mental health care, and the wise use of technology in clinical psychological service.
We seek a colleague who focuses on any area of clinical psychological science and is eager to join and help shape a dynamic team that prioritizes excellence in clinical research, practice, and training, consistent with Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System ( PCSAS ) values. Course releases are granted for appropriate reasons including serving as director of clinical training ( DCT ), mentoring PhD students, and at the Director's discretion "buy out" of assigned classes using grant funding. Key Responsibilities
30% Teaching
Teach in the therapeutic and pharmacy practice sequences for professional program students. This position is focused in psychiatry and mental health, but faculty are expected to teach throughout the PharmD program. Provide clinical instruction as a preceptor for clerkship students and at co-curricular activities.
40% Practice
Clinical service will be in the College's DURM group to 1) provide research, analysis and reporting on drug use patterns and trends; and 2) provide research, analysis, development, revision, and reporting of drug use educational programs and interventions, including provider profiling, academic detailing, and order change forms. This position will support and expand education and outreach efforts to Medicaid providers, with a focus on mental health medications.
15% Scholarship

Specific activities

* Teach 4.5 quarter courses in mathematics per academic year at the undergraduate or graduate level, with 4 and 5 courses taught in alternate years,

+ Teach 4.5 quarter courses in mathematics per academic year at the undergraduate or graduate level, with 4 and 5 courses taught in alternate years,

Key Responsibilities
70% Teaching and Advising:
Develop and teach courses for OSU -Cascades, consisting of a mix of courses: large and small, and potentially, a mix of modalities. Engage with the College of Engineering as necessary to coordinate development and deployment. Advise students in projects; conduct student assessments, including proper documentation to support ABET accreditation; hold office hours; and mentor and advise students on professional aspects of the field.
20% Research and scholarly activities:
Conduct and direct academic and/or applied research; seek extramural funding, advise student research projects, publish in recognized peer-reviewed journals and conferences relevant to engineering education or engineering design theory and methodology, and present at professional meetings.
10% Service:
Participate as a collegial member of the unit and perform appropriate service that contributes to the effectiveness of the Campus, School, the College, the University, and the profession. Service includes participation in and leadership of Campus, School, College, and University committees, attendance at faculty meetings, mentorship of junior faculty, and contributions to outreach activities. Participation in service to the profession, including serving as a consultant to Industry partners, reviewer or editor for journals and conferences, leadership roles in professional organizations, reviewing proposals, and conference organization, should be pursued as appropriate.
What You Will Need
+ PhD in mechanical engineering or other relevant discipline in engineering prior to the position start date.
+ Demonstrated ability or significant potential for excellent teaching.
+ Research experience in mechanical design, design theory or engineering education.
+ Proven oral and written communication skills.
+ Demonstrated practice of holistic consideration of equity, inclusion, and social justice throughout techniques used to apply research learnings to create a compelling learning experience and fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment for faculty, staff, and students

Teaching & Advising: 45%:
Teaching duties will include 5 courses /year over 3 trimesters; lower and upper division undergraduate / graduate courses; courses in ethics and field robotics, ethics and artificial intelligence; general philosophy and ethics courses, and areas related to the candidate's teaching and research interests; advising students in the philosophy program.
Research: 45%:
