The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking a General Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty provider at the Assistant Professor or AssociateProfessor level.
The faculty member is credentialed and privileged as an MD, with completion of an Ob/Gyn Residency, and independent surgical experience necessary to provide a full-scope practice. This position is a member of the OHSU Professional Staff practicing in accordance with the respective bylaws, and shall provide inpatient and outpatient clinical services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. The faculty member is expected to comply with all laws, regulations, OHSU policy, and other applicable professional standards of practice.
Required Qualifications
Clinical Activities - Provide an outstanding level of clinical performance in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Responsibilities include:
Participation in the development and delivery of the group clinical practice at the Center for Women's Health, and off-site OHSU Health Partners, including full spectrum obstetrics and gynecology.
Maintaining a fair-share of obstetrics and gynecology call, some of which will require on-site presence at OHSU and/or off-site OHSU Health Partners.
Scholarly Activities - Like all OHSU faculty members, this position is expected to have some scholarly activity; this may be limited to educating learners as outlined below, but may also include research, and other grant supported work or academic papers and presentations in disciplines related to their field of expertise. Faculty members are expected to participate in clinical research as needed, often with the help of trained research support staff and senior faculty principal investigators.
Education - This position provides clinical education to fellows, residents, and medical students participating in Obstetrics and Gynecology rotations. The faculty member may also help with clinical teaching of nurse and APP trainees. As part of the multidisciplinary team charged with educating learners in the outpatient clinic environment, this person would be expected to provide feedback and evaluation, both formally and informally, of learners working in obstetrics and gynecology.
Administrative Activities - As an OHSU faculty member this position would be required to participate in faculty meetings at the division and department level, and serve on OHSU committees and in other activities as requested by the department chair or division head in furtherance of division, department, or OHSU goals and objectives.

MD degree
Oregon licensure
Completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency.
Surgical experience necessary to perform a broad range of surgeries independently, and to instruct learners in surgery.

Function/Duties of Position
Teaching trainees, medical students and support staff in accordance with assignments by the Chair. Teaching is done through assigned lectures to be given during the course of the year and through teaching in the course of performing their own job by modeling best practices, mentoring trainees and guiding learning through delegating graduated and focused levels of responsibility. Appointee shall establish and maintain a program of scholarly activities directed toward improving understanding of the causes, detection and treatment of diseases. The appointee shall have a demonstrated competence in teaching. This position also contributes to the administration of the department as assigned by the Chair; specifically, by helping select residents and participating in administrative committees and councils of OHSU as approved by the Chair.
Providing an outstanding level of professional performance (e.g. quality of investigation for research faculty; quality of clinical care for clinical faculty; quality of administrative function in education office). Professional performance is to be delivered in a manner that is compliant with the OHSU Code of Conduct. Appointee shall treat all patients, research subjects, trainees and co-workers with dignity and respect.
Maintaining a program of scholarly research activity directed toward improved understanding of the causes, detection, and treatment of diseases. May develop and direct scholarly research activities focused toward improving the educational foundation within dermatology. May engage in public service through consultative activities with OHSU and non-University groups as approved by the Chair. May also participate in additional departmental or hospital administration as approved by the Chair. (Optional)
Appointee shall have a demonstrated competence in research, teaching, patient care, administration or combinations of these activities. The potential for academic accomplishment should be evident.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) Degree and Board certification/eligibility in Dermatology as well as experience in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients with cutaneous diseases. Research interests may be clinical or basic science. Depending on the qualifications of the person selected, the position may be filled as an Assistant or AssociateProfessor. Salary shall be commensurate with rank. Clinical and academic bonuses are available based upon productivity.

This agreement furthers the University's mission by providing service and analyses to benefit the citizens of Oregon by promoting high quality cost-effective drug therapy for Medicaid patients. 30% Teaching
Teach in the therapeutic and pharmacy practice sequences for professional program students. This position is focused in psychiatry and mental health, but faculty are expected to teach throughout the PharmD program. Provide clinical instruction as a preceptor for clerkship students and at co-curricular activities.
40% Practice
Clinical service will be in the College's DURM group to 1) provide research, analysis and reporting on drug use patterns and trends; and 2) provide research, analysis, development, revision, and reporting of drug use educational programs and interventions, including provider profiling, academic detailing, and order change forms. This position will support and expand education and outreach efforts to Medicaid providers, with a focus on mental health medications.

30% Teaching
Teach in the therapeutic and pharmacy practice sequences for professional program students. This position is focused in psychiatry and mental health, but faculty are expected to teach throughout the PharmD program. Provide clinical instruction as a preceptor for clerkship students and at co-curricular activities.
40% Practice
Clinical service will be in the College's DURM group to 1) provide research, analysis and reporting on drug use patterns and trends; and 2) provide research, analysis, development, revision, and reporting of drug use educational programs and interventions, including provider profiling, academic detailing, and order change forms. This position will support and expand education and outreach efforts to Medicaid providers, with a focus on mental health medications.

The Business Program at OSU-Cascades in Bend, Oregon, invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track full/part-time Instructor positions to teach on a term by term basis for the 2025-2026 academic year.
