The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine (PACCM) provides expert diagnosis and care of patients with lung diseases in our Pulmonary Clinic; allergy, asthma, and immunologic disorders in our Allergy Clinic; and of critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit. As part of PACCM, the Sleep Medicine Program provides collaborative care for patients with sleep disorders.

Function/Duties of Position
The duties of this position include:
Clinical (40-90%): Provision of outpatient and inpatient clinical duties in the Allergy and Immunology Section of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, as assigned by the Division Head.
Administrative, Educational and Academic (10%): There are no specific administrative responsibilities assigned at this time. Educational responsibilities include presenting at and otherwise participating in division grand rounds and other conferences and may include teaching residents and medical students. Further responsibilities will be developed in conjunction with the division chief.
Research (0-50%): Conduct independent clinical, translational, or basic science research.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching Allergy and Immunology fellows as well as residents from multiple specialties and medical students. Clinical responsibilities may include proficiency in treating both common and complex allergic and immunologic disorders in both inpatient and outpatient practice at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. The provider may also be required to spend part of their clinical time at nearby satellite locations in the Portland metro region. The ideal candidate should have an interest and experience in education, systems improvement initiatives, and/or clinical research related to asthma, allergy and immunology. There will be opportunities to lead and coordinate the development of multi-disciplinary clinics in food allergy, asthma, atopic dermatitis, and severe sinus disease.

Work 1-2 remote shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
Vessel Operations and Field Support - 70%
Operates small research vessels (motorized and non-motorized) in marine and freshwater environments.
Trailers, launches, and recovers vessels using full-size trucks and other towing equipment.
Assists with on-deck operations including gear deployment, line handling, and routine tasks required to support research missions.
Makes basic safety and operational assessments based on environmental conditions and equipment readiness
Assists in launching, securing, and mooring vessels before and after use.
Equipment and Vessel Maintenance - 20%
Performs basic maintenance and cleaning of small boats, motors (inboard/outboard), and trailers.
Conducts inspections and simple repairs using hand tools and power tools.
Fuels vessels, checks fluids, and monitors engine condition.
Keeps records of fuel usage, inspections, and minor repairs.
Stores, organizes, and inventories boating equipment and supplies.
General Support and Recordkeeping - 10%
Assists in setup and breakdown for trainings, field deployments, and safety drills.
Loads and unloads gear and supplies for field operations.
Maintains basic logs related to operations, maintenance, and usage.
May help guide or coordinate the work of student employees or volunteers on-site.
Communicates with staff, researchers, and students to support day-to-day needs of the Small Boat Program.
What We Require
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma and 2 years of vessel operations experience in assigned area of responsibility; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
Boater Education Card issued by the State of Oregon or equivalent;
Successfully complete First Aid and CPR Training;
Successfully complete an internal evaluation of related skills provided by a designated member of OSU's Ship Operations staff;
Ability to speak, read and write English;
Basic computer skills including use of e-mail, web browsers, word processing.

SSS Peer Mentors will help create a welcoming environment and familiarize SSS participants with college life. They will help the incoming SSS cohort adapt socially and academically, as well as monitor any adjustment issues.
Peer Mentors will help the new SSS participants navigate college life at Oregon State University by providing the students information about available resources on campus, orienting them to the expectations of an institution of higher education, and encouraging participation in all SSS activities and events. It is required that the SSS Peer Mentors participate in all SSS planned peer mentoring activities.

The Eksi Lab at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking a highly motivated and creative postdoctoral fellow with expertise in cancer biology, neurobiology, or neuroimmunology. Our research focuses on how sympathetic nerve signaling remodels the tumor microenvironment to drive cancer progression, with emphasis on prostate and pancreatic cancers. We are particularly interested in the bidirectional communication between tumor-innervating neurons, cancer cells, and immune populations such as mast cells.
Our lab integrates spatial proteomics, single-cell transcriptomics, and epigenomics, and advanced 3D ex vivo and in vivo mouse models to dissect neural regulation of cancer. Community Assistants (CAs) are employees of Housing Operations, a unit of University Housing and Dining Services (UHDS). Supervised by the Apartment Living Manager, the CA is expected to work to accomplish the objectives of UHDS and to help create and maintain an effective living-learning community within the Orchard Court Complex, the GEM Apartments, 1045 SW Madison, and Dixon Lodge. The position requires a positive attitude towards CA responsibilities, UHDS, and its mission. Overall job effectiveness is tied to the CA's ability to establish and maintain credibility and good rapport with residents, and University faculty and staff.
CAs work as on-site staff and resource persons for the residents of Orchard Court, a 107-unit apartment complex, the GEM, a 231-unit high-rise apartment building, 1045 SW Madison, a 221-unit high-rise apartment building, and Dixon Lodge, a 30-unit two-story complex used for short-term and emergency housing, all serving the Oregon State University students and their families.
CAs are required to live in the Orchard Court Complex, the GEM apartments, 1045 SW Madison, or Dixon Lodge. CAs are required to maintain eligibility criteria to reside in student housing. Job duties include being on-call nights and weekends in addition to attending staff and one-on-one meetings as scheduled by the Apartment Living Manager.
CAs are responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that promotes an emotionally and physically safe and secure residential community. CAs are called upon to effectively respond to and manage a variety of crisis and emergency situations. CAs play a key role in the UHDS and OSU Emergency Management Plan and creating environments that encourage all students to be academically and personally successful and in the implementation of community, department, and university initiatives.

* The Dixon Lodge Community Assistant position is a one-year student leadership opportunity, currently for the 2026-2027 academic year. The employment period begins in the summer of 2026 on July 1, 2026, and extends through the full academic year to June 30, 2027.
* The responsibilities and execution of the CA position may shift depending upon Oregon Health Authority guidelines.

* Successful completion of all required training sessions prior to and during service, including but not limited to:
* Online training, a series of online modules hosted on Canvas.
* CA Training, which may begin the first two weeks of the start dates and throughout the year as needed.
* Weekly Staff Meetings, on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 pmduring the academic year. If a class during this time is absolutely needed to complete graduation requirements, please consult as soon as possible with your supervisor for approval.
* Winter Training, which may begin as early as January 2, 2027.
* All CAs are expected to participate in training. Students interested in taking summer courses will be expected to plan their schedule around all training sessions.
* A weekly meeting time will be set at the beginning of each term in accordance with the CA and supervisor's schedules.
* CAs will be assigned to duty shifts while classes are not in session and on holidays when OSU is closed (Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, Summer Break, and University Closures). Duty entails being within a ten-minute response time to the community.
* CAs must be available to work during these times as duty will be split evenly among them for these dates.
* University Housing & Dining Services is the primary employer/leadership opportunity for all CAs. The University allows domestic student employees to work on campus for 24 hours per week and international student employees to work on campus for 20 hours per week. The CA position is currently defined as 20 hours per week.
* Any weekend absence from campus or any special situations must be cleared in advance with the supervisor.
* Exceptions to the above responsibilities of the Position Description may be approved at the discretion of the Apartment Living Manager and the Associate Director of Operations
Working Conditions
CAs work in a positive apartment-style community residence. The CA position is routinely a night and weekend role. Occasionally, CAs encounter the following circumstances:
* Addressing high-risk medical and emergency situations.
* Experiencing periods of high stress when responding to student crises with a potential to cause secondary traumatic stress.
* Effectively communicating with members of the OSU Community and the public, some of whom may be hostile
* An unpredictable and dynamic work schedule/setting.
* Occasionally lifting up to 10 pounds, and rarely up to 70 pounds.
Compensation
* The Dixon Lodge CA is required to live within Dixon Lodge. Included is a bedroom with a private bathroom, air conditioning, and a communal kitchen.
* CAs receive a $720 per month stipend.
Please Note: The CA position could affect the financial aid package. CAs should check with a financial aid counselor for information on specific circumstances. Financial Aid is required by the US Department of Education to include CA compensation as part of a student's financial aid package. However, it cannot be counted against a student's "entitlement" monies (Pell Grants and Need Grants).

Job Summary
The PAC Recreational SCUBA Program within the Physical Activities Course ( PAC ) Program, a part of the School of Exercise, Sport, and Health Sciences, in the College of Health at Oregon State University is seeking SCUBA Certification Evaluators. This is a part-time, (varied FTE ), hourly, 12-month, professional faculty position.
Applications submitted to this recruitment pool are reviewed on an as needed basis. Qualified candidates will be contacted when positions become available throughout the academic year. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the program Director. Scheduling for each term is determined in February for Spring term, November for Winter term, and beginning in May for Fall term.
This position supports the SCUBA courses offered through the PAC Recreational SCUBA Programs within the Physical Activity Course ( PAC ) program at Oregon State University by guiding and evaluating students throughout the process of achieving certification through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors ( PADI ). Courses currently offered include Open Water ( PAC 242), Advanced Open Water ( PAC 243), Rescue Diver ( PAC 244), specialties ( PAC 245), and Divemaster I & II ( PAC 299).
Incumbent will provide additional supervision and/or run pool and open water sessions independently in SCUBA classes and make sure PADI ratio standards are met so students are safe in the learning environment.
The primary mission of the PAC Program is to provide all Oregon State University students with the knowledge and experience to make sound decisions regarding present and future physically active lifestyles. The intent of the PAC Program is to provide quality instruction in safe, adequately equipped facilities and to create a positive, enjoyable learning environment.
The SCUBA Certification Evaluator position will serve as an integral member of the PAC Program team, where each instructor plays a specific role to the larger organization. Recognizing individual interests and abilities, the program provides courses covering a wide variety of physical activities. We make an effort to address contemporary trends and student interests. Key Responsibilities
80% - Evaluation
- Work directly with students (small group and individually, including minors) in pool sessions and open water dives as they practice techniques, skills, and equipment usage which are necessary for certification.
- Assist or independently run dive groups of 20+ students with assistance from additional staff and/or volunteers in pool sessions and open water dives.
- Modify level and amount of assistance provided to students based on each student's individual skill and comfort level.
- Evaluate each student's skills to determine when it is appropriate to build on techniques and continue with the next step in the established curriculum. Work with students in a confined water and open water environment.
- Enforce all safety rules at the pool and open water sites.
- Guide students with proper dive planning for open water dives.
- Drive/transport students and/or equipment to open water sites.
20% - Equipment
- Provide general equipment care. Service equipment if incumbent possesses the necessary factory equipment certification.
- Ensure equipment and other materials are set up prior to course meetings.
- Wash, sanitize, and store equipment after use.
- Help with inventory check in and out.
- Depending on course level, demonstrate equipment function, use, and assist students with using equipment.
What You Will Need
Current, valid PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certification, professional liability insurance, and current good standing with PADI .
Current, valid Adult CPR and AED Essentials and First Aid and oxygen provider (the certifications must be completed prior to the start of classes; more advanced training will be accepted).
Minimum of 150 dives. 20 dives must be in a professional supervisory position and 4 of the 20 dives must be with the OSU SCUBA program, may be earned before start date as an OSU volunteer.
Ability to manage small groups (6 students alone) and with assist with large groups of students (up to 10).
Ability to be flexible with students' needs.
Ability to cooperate with other SCUBA instructional team members and volunteer staff, possibly in high stress environments.
Experience with diving in night conditions (at least 10) and Deep dives (at least 10).
Able to safely operate full size trucks loaded with SCUBA equipment or operate 12 passenger vans with students.
Current, valid DAN accident insurance.
Ability to provide own SCUBA equipment necessary for OSU's dive environment.
