This position provides technical support to pharmacists through preparation of unit doses, data entry, delivery of medications, and cartfill exchange. Functions as a liaison and a point of contact for various pharmacy operations and interdisciplinary team members. Facilitate and prioritizes time sensitive duties which may include but are not limited to delivery of urgent medications, pharmacy program support and operational procedures. Person working this shift is responsible for ensuring accountability and accuracy of standard operations procedures in these areas. Function/Duties of Position Assist pharmacist through performance of the following technical support activities: Computer order entry of inpatient and outpatient orders. Filling unit dose medication orders. Select ordered medications from inventory to fill new orders or to provide 24-hours medication for distribution to patient's room. Answering telephone, filing, billing / crediting and medication profile maintenance. Load and refill medications into automated dispensing cabinet stations. Maintain manufacturing logs and documents to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. System optimization, hardware maintenance, user support, reporting, file transmission and assistance in problem-solving pertaining to automation and technology. Performs a detailed and thorough audit of controlled substances medications dispensed for a patient and reconciles against products documented as adminisered or returned to the pharmacy for wasting. Demonstrates the ability to strengthen accountability, identify suspected diversion, and responds to known or suspected diversion incidents to avoid serious patient care, legal, and compliance implications. Prioritize labels from new orders to assure that product is delivered to label location at least one hour prior to label due time. Organize and restock work areas during and prior to end of shift, and remove expired medication. Round to nursing locations; deliver items and remove excess and discontinued oral dosage and injectable dosage units from patients' bins and refrigerators and return to pharmacy for action. Required Qualifications High School Diploma, Active State of Oregon Pharmacy Technician License AND 1 year of pharmacy work experience, or equivalent additional education; AND Certification from the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or National Healthcareer Association. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Autopsy & Technician 2 assists the Forensic Pathologist/Medical Examiner with all aspects of autopsy performance. The work involves responsibility for assisting before, during, and after the autopsy by performing a variety of related activities. The Inventory Optimization Tech is responsible for leading the ongoing optimization and maintenance of the organization's supply station inventory systems (ParEx, KanBan, Pyxis, ParKing, SrubAvail). Primary Purpose The Part-time Instructor provides instruction in Pharmacy Technician Program , directs student discussion and evaluates student performance in the classroom. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Provide instruction in Pharmacy Technician Program courses in classroom, remote, or online delivery mode using established course outcomes. The Nuclear Medicine/CT Technologist performs a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures that utilize a variety of equipment for use in diagnosis and treatment of patient disease. Nuclear Medicine Technologists work with infant, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. Function/Duties of Position Nuclear Medicine: Performs all phases of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures. Responsible for implementation of assigned Pharmacy Technician courses: providing direct supervision and assessing progress of assigned students in a classroom setting. Participate in program faculty meetings. The PICU is a regional referral center for all critically ill and injured children that operates 24/7. The primary purpose of the PICU is to provide optimal state of the art critical care nursing to any infant, child or adolescent who presents with a serious injury and/or illness. Care is provided for patients from birth to 18 years of age. Older patients are cared for on a case-by-case basis. The Intensive Care Unit technician (ICU Tech) position is part of the healthcare team in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The ICU tech performs tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and as directed by the department nurse manager. The ICU tech will provide assistance in the maintenance of supplies pertaining to the ICU, and will assist with quality assurance activities for the ICU. Maintain manufacturing logs and document to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies Prepare, mix and compound sterile medications, including chemotherapy. Adherence to aseptic procedures when preparing, mixing and compounding sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications. Performs pharmaceutical calculations in verifying dosage for medications to be prepared. Cleans and maintains primary and secondary engineering controls (e.g., vertical and laminar flow hoods) and equipment used to compound sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications (e.g. repeater pump, work surfaces), discarding all non-preserved and/or non-labeled solutions in order to keep work area clean and orderly. Prioritize labels from new orders to assure that product is delivered to label location at least one hour prior to label due time. Organize and restock work areas during and prior to end of shift, and remove expired medication. Round to nursing locations; deliver items and remove excess and discontinued oral dosage and injectable dosage units from patients' bins and refrigerators and return to pharmacy for action. Perform other technician duties as assigned based on operational needs. Required Qualifications High School Diploma, active State of Oregon Pharmacy Technician License AND 2 years of pharmacy work experience, or equivalent additional education; AND Certification from the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or National Healthcareer Association. This position provides technical support to clinic personnel and off-site pharmacists who are responsible for the safe and proper distribution and use of medications by patients in outpatient infusion clinics that are not staffed with a licensed pharmacist. Patients may range in age from neonates, infants adolescents ages 1-18, adults ages 19-65, and the elderly age >65. The technician is responsible for conducting the day-to-day operations of the outpatient infusion preparation area. Responsibilities include: sterile product and hazardous admixture/preparation, automated inventory maintenance of controlled and non- controlled medications, narcotic discrepancy reconciliation, pharmacy computer system order entry, clinic audits, supply ordering, medication delivery, regulatory compliance record-keeping, utilization of pharmacy- related technology, and performing other duties as assigned. Function/Duties of Position Prepare, mix and compound sterile medications, including hazardous medications, following aseptic procedures.
